Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside this morning, my usual bus trips out to Buckingham and Bicester.
As to Bicester things may change in January when we get a direct hourly bus service.
It will be usual shop and coffee stops.

Good morning all from an icy, cold County Durham. The frost is sparkling on the fields across the valley this morning and looks so magical.

We're on GC duty again today. Yesterday was a journey through the woods with our little one, enjoying those crunchy leaves and avoiding muddy puddles. We will decide later regarding where we may venture today.

I too look forward to visiting Bowes Museum Alygran. I've always admired Norman Cornish's paintings too.

Sending my best wishes to Gilly and any others feeling sad or unwell today.

Good morning,

It's -1 degree c at the moment, with a very keen frost, but it looks as if it's going to be a lovely day. A nice day for a brisk walk if wrapped up.

Beautiful photos, Alygran.

Marydoll, I'm glad you enjoyed your catch up with your friends, despite all the sad news from them! However, do be careful in this very cold weather, and stay indoors whenever possible during this very cold snap.

Maw, a hot toddy is called for today to chase that sore throat away.

Thinking of gilly and her DH and hoping that as each day passes, a little more progress is made.

I'm hoping to see my friend later today if she's free, it's been a while since we saw each other, so a bit of a catch up is in order.

Take care, all, and keep warm. Anyone feeling under the weather, I hope things improve soon.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very frosty South Yorkshire but the sun is shining. There is a flock of about seventeen sparrows on the feeders seeing off all other comers. I love them but wish they weren’t so selfish! Ironing and a bit of shopping today before the school run. Lovely photos Alygran. Nice to be out in the sun!
Hoping the news from Gilly continues to be positive. Have a good day folks.

Good morning from cold and frosty North Yorkshire. It was a beautiful day yesterday so I went back to the arboretum near here. Very soggy underfoot but glorious in the sunshine.
It was already frosty when I left my board meeting last night and it’s very white this morning. Pleased I put the car in the garage.
Off to Bowes Museum today to see the Norman Cornish exhibition.
Hope all the coughs, colds and sore throats improve and that we have more good news from Gilly.
Stay warm everyone (including you Marydoll) and have a good day.

harrigran Tue 19-Nov-19 08:06:10

Good morning from the NE where we have a harsh frost, it is -2 and quite pretty.
DH has a hospital appointment this morning but we are free for the rest of the day, no school run in next county.

Good morning all from a very frosty Northampton. Everything is white and sparkling and a lovely pink sunrise, which is shepherd's warning, isn't it?
Nothing planned for this morning except a bit of washing, then after lunch will try to get to a health walk. Have a coffee and chat afterwards, then pick up younger DGD from school, give her tea, and get her ready for Brownies.
Hope the day goes well for all and to those feeling poorly, stay in out of the cold and take care.

Marydoll Tue 19-Nov-19 07:51:54

Maw, Oh I hate that razor blade throat feeling. Hope you feel better soon.

I prescribe a wee hot toddy, then a snooze! grin

NannyJan53 Tue 19-Nov-19 07:45:55

Good morning from a frosty Black Country. It was 0 deg in car this morning.

We had a good U3A meeting yesterday, with plans for lots of trips out next year. Beechnut the history of canals is very interesting. We have many canals here in the Black Country.

Off over to Wolverhampton today to spend some time with Mum. She had a mouse in her bedroom last week! But she managed to trap it with the help of my DS who visited her Saturday. Why would a mouse go upstairs where there is no food??

Wishing you all a good day, and hoping for more positive news from gilly

MawB Tue 19-Nov-19 07:43:08

Good morning all from cold and frosty N Bucks.
I’m having to whisper as I have a throat like razor blades which has had me up much of the night. ?????
That is trivial though and nothing compared to what many are going through. I hope there will be some news of more progress from Mr Gillybobs and that Marydoll keeps in out of the cold.
Wishing you all a pleasant day smile

Nanabanana1 Tue 19-Nov-19 07:40:35

Good morning all from a freezing Glasgow, it's -7 again!

A day in for me, papa will do the nursery run, as the cold is hurting my chest. sad

Well I made my lunch date yesterday and what a cheery affair it was! grin.
Friend no.1 : I'm having an emergency hip replacement in a few weeks, I left it too long to seek help and the op needs to be done ASAP.
Friend no.2: We are selling the house, X and I have split up after 19 years. ?
Friend no. 2: Y and I have split up after 12 years. ??
Friend no 4: MIL 92, is very unwell, DH has had to rush to care home sad
Me: Well..............

The good news was that I managed to eat some lovely sea bass, without feeling too nauseous.
However, it was so cold that I had an angina attack, as soon as I went into the car park. Kalu it was up at Waitrose, so you will know how cold it was.
It was good to catch up and after we discused all the bad /sad news, we had a lovely catch up.

Hoping the slighter better news from Gilly continues and my best wishes to all who are suffering emotionally or physically at the moment.
That's what's great about this lovely thread, we all look after each other.
If you are new to the thread, come on in! You are very welcome!!

If energy remains some shops later, there could well be a need for tea and cake. Love to gilly and her husband, hope maryd feels better this morning and Tuesday is kind to everyone.

And - Gabriella is back! Welcome back - I look forward to seeing you back in the thick of things on the threads I only read as I haven’t the courage to contribute!

The sun is rising on the wrong side of next door’s house. It must be getting near mid=winter! And there’s frost on the skylights too. Looks as if it’s going to be a lovely brisk day.

Off into Norwich this afternoon shopping with DD2. A rare treat.
