Dear Gilly, I’ve nothing to add to all the expressions of friendship except to say ,me too❤️ Ever in my thoughts and prayers x

I am so pleased there is a glimmer of good news from you gillybob Let’s hope they have got on top of the infections.

It does surprise me when you say you don’t have any friends as you come across on here as being a kind and friendly person.

I guess it could be a case of lack of time though .

Your normal life is so busy with childcare, looking after your father as well as work of course so there probably aren’t enough hours in the days to socialise.

You have certainly got friends on here though!

Bit late in the day,
but just wanted to check if Gilly had posted today.

I am so pleased to read your post Gilly.
Baby steps, but in the right direction.

I hope and pray that your DH has indeed turned the corner and can begin his recovery.

Hugs and best wishes to you both ? xxxx

Good afternoon everyone,

It's a very wet, cold, miserable day here in South Yorkshire - I'm not sure how much more our saturated ground will take, and I think especially of those near me who have been flooded and lost so much (some of them have lost everything).
There is a big clean up taking place now, and this rain is definitely unwelcome.

gilly, lovely to hear from you, and so pleased to hear of the more positive news. As you know, it will be a long journey ahead, but I do hope that as each day passes, more positive signs will appear.

GabriellaG54, welcome back.

A warm welcome to all the new posters on this thread.

Keep warm, one and all. I'm off to prepare a sausage casserole for dinner shortly to simmer slowly in the oven for later.

Welcome Bestgranny and janzicb1 good to see you.

GabriellaG54 Sun 17-Nov-19 14:06:00

Thank you Esther1 and annep1 smileflowers
It's good to be in the lion's den once more although I don't think that a chair and a stick or whip will keep the beasties from roaring ??????

Much sympathy to those who are sick or have such sad situations. There are many more of us I'm sure with problems but don't really wish to discuss personal details on line; thinking of the SILENT. Ones too and hoping for respite for all concerned.

janzicb1 Sun 17-Nov-19 12:29:29

As a newly joined gma I am very moved by the support you have been given it seems for a long time. It ya very heart warming to read the notes and best wishes for you and your husband. I wish to add my best wishes and hugs as you are obviously in s long lonely journey and you are trying to be so brave in s terrible situation. I too hope that today your darling will be a little more like himself and soon recognise your dear face when he feels calmer. Many best wishes for a positive result soon. I hope finally that they are right in knowing the cause of his terrible illness. J from derbyshire( not flooded bit!)

Kate, I only got it cut on Tuesday and it's growing so fast!!!
I would love to have a rummage in a shop like that.

Bestgranny, is this your first time on the thread, if so, a warm welcome!

Bestgranny, your own posts will be highlighted in pink, so that you can find them! The origonal post, (OP), will be highlighted in green! smile You haven't done anything wrong!
Looking forward to seeing you post again.

mary51 Sun 17-Nov-19 12:27:31

Just popping in as I read this everyday and find it a very friendly thread and I feel as if I know some of the posters. It is like a friendly staff room!

So good to hear from Gillybob as I find myself thinking of her most days . Also so good to see Gabriella back as I missed reading her and was sorry she left. Best wishes to all.

Urmstongran Sun 17-Nov-19 12:24:21

Bestgranny everyone’s own posts show up in pink on a thread.

I just wish on threads that the OP’s threads would show up in a colour too - especially if it’s an involved discussion. I think it would be really helpful.

GNHQ??

NanKate Sun 17-Nov-19 12:22:03

I thought of you Mary when I was in the 40s cafe. You could easily get some slinky faux fur stole in there to go with you leather trousers, kinky boots and sparkly socks. Zandra Rhodes better watch out now, especially as you have your new razor cut hairstyle. ??

Bestgranny Sun 17-Nov-19 12:20:48

Have I done something wrong, my posts are coming up in pink . Say nothing til you hear more .
