PA will never appear in court over this. He’ll just take more and more of a back seat ( not that for years as he ever been more that a golf playing chocolate teapot) with the occasional grubby story emerging when he escapes his minders.

(917 Posts)Having just watched the interview with Emily Maitlis, I just cannot make my mind up about him , I find it strange that he could not recollect having that photo taken with the girl with his arm around him , I thought he was very cautious with his answers, What do you all think ?
These utter sleazebags of so called human beings both male and female who use and abuse the young for their own pleasure and gratification are abhorent. Using power and privilege to obtain satisfaction by means of another's pain is as old as the hills but it doesn't mean that it's in any way right. We need to call these people out and they need to face up to the devastating consequences of their behaviour. That's the point of it all old gimmer.
I agree with BlueBelle. And just because there have been examples of pretty poor behaviour in the past, doesn’t make this story any more acceptable. I’m astonished that any woman at least whose a mother and a grandmother , had daughters, granddaughters would ever think it was fine for young women to be procured/trafficked/exploited/ traded in this way by sleazy men. At the very least, PA should not have been anywhere near any of these men and these parties. This went on for years, it wasn’t a brief one off youthful
indiscretion.
Grandma70s I can’t help but wonder what the men amongst your family and friends are like if you think this sort of behaviour is a big fuss about not much.
I think the interview may be a publicity thing. The girl is talking, as are other girls.
I think he wants his story "out there" so, if anything else is said, he can say that he has said everything he has to.
Maybe the girl wants him to appear in a court in the States? She's made a declaration (but only backed up by one other person I think).
Can Andy be subpoena'd to give evidence?
Silly man! Why did he feel the need to justify himself? His actions were just part of his lifestyle. He used to be known as a playboy, and that's the life he led. Remember Koo Stark...his first love? She was a soft porn star, which is why she was considered unsuitable. Just shows which sort of social circle he moves in.
Given that someone like him will always be photographed so much, I don't find it in the least odd that he doesn't recall that particular photo being taken.
Finding the whole issue (and him) however, boring and distasteful, I couldn't bear to watch the interview. Dh wanted to though so I escaped to the kitchen and watched part 11 of Spiral instead. Just the final episode to go!
I think he's lying. Don't know what possessed him to do that interview. Craziest thing any of 'em have done in a long time. But then I would imagine he's a bit thick.
I can't make up my mind one way or the other at the moment. I watched the interview last night and was looking at his body language more than anything after each question that was asked of him.
Then I wondered how he'd fair in a court of law if it came to that.
I've come across the " sudden loss of memory " after a certain question and in a case that I'm following it turned out to be something that the person concerned hadn't wanted to remember certain incidents, which were found out to be as it happened.
He's only got himself to blame for associating with Epstein who he must have known what sort of monster he was.
This is some wake-up call for Andrew !
Why no interviews with Epstein's chambermaids, valets, laundresses, cooks, pilot, chauffeur, housemaids, staff at that nightclub, and the photographers concerned with the incriminating photos?
I believe photos can be faked. I also believe rich men often feel entitled and pay for what they want whatever that be. Andrew must be pretty stupid to think he could be unobserved.
I cannot understand why the Queen's close relations are not trained by professional PR experts in how royal persons ought to behave. I do hope the Queen will not suffer from all this dirt.
So what's the point of all this?
Does the woman want compensation?
And where's Ghislaine Maxwell in this? She WAS the pimp, after all.
I agree Bluebelle.
I thought that the photograph of him with his arm around 'that lady' (young girl) was very interesting as it was apparently taken at Maxwell's house and Maxwell is in the background, smiling.
It made me think of the possibilities of blackmail too.
do you just drop or shun your friends just because they ve done something wrong I hope I wouldn’t at least not immediately
grandma70 if I found out or knew my friend was a paedophile yes of course I would drop them like a hot potato wouldn’t you?
I am an extremely loyal friend but I would never be going out or staying with a paedophile once I knew about their activities Your answer has really shocked me Can you honestly say if you found out your friend was a sex offender having orgies and using young girls, you would continue that friendship
If I found out my best friend had stole something or hit someone I would of course stay around to see if they had a valid reason or a problem but if i found out they were abusing girls I d run for the hills there can be no explanation for that
Andrew at best turned a blind eye but hardly without doubt he enjoyed his time with the man monster
'Where is decency? Certainly not in the newspapers; anything for a good story and not too much attention paid to establishing the truth before they publish.
I've watched the programme.
I believe him. Emily Maitlis is scraping the barrel.
And sleaze and unbecoming behaviour is not unprecedented in the RF. In the context of Tampaxgate and Dianagate this is nothing.
Even the veracity of the photo can't be verified.
Storm in a teacup.
It looks as if the RF are in for another bashing.
In my newspaper today.
Headline about Andrew and sex with girls procured by a known paedophile.
The next page headline, sex for cash by our Prime Minister, with Acura.
Where is decency?
This has also been discussed on Gracious Majesty thread as I thought it was more important than castigating MM for wanting to spend Christmas with her mother. I think some of you are missing the point when you focus on just whether he had sex with this particular young woman. It’s fundamentally about the long term friendship he had with JE who was well known for his parties at which young girls ( even if over the age of consent) were freely available for older richer powerful men to basically use for their sexual pleasure and exploitation.
Watch the Prince and the Paedophile on C4 dispatches for the full sleazey context. JE also paid off some of SF’s debts brokered by PA. He went to a dinner to celebrate JE’s release and as we know stayed in his house for several days after he was released.
He has made a laughing stock of the RF - last night I nearly cried with laughter at the reviews on google for the Pizza Express at Woking. I hope HM doesn’t see fit to be photographed going to church with him anytime soon as she did in the summer.
There are victims in this whole sorry sage and I’m sure more is to come out. I do not believe JE killed himself.
Iam64: I know he didn't shun Epstein immediately. That was the point. Many people seem to be thinking he should have done.
He is certainly not very bright, though I think the word ‘arrogant’ is used and misused far too much about anyone unpopular
I have only seen clips of the interview but from what I have heard I won’t waste time listening to an arrogant man making excuses.
I have just heard that an acquaintance of mine has just been put on the sex offenders register. Yes, I will do my best to avoid him.
My husband and I were discussing how arrogant Andrew came across in the interview and interestingly Nicholas Witchell used the same word.
I found it unbelievable that he refused to admit that his friendship with Epstein was a mistake.
He requested the interview apparently. He would have known what the questions would have been so he had plenty of opportunity to phrase his answers, yet he was still unconvincing, wasn’t he?
I can believe he doesn't remember one particular photograph taken several years ago.
There is no way he can continue to be a patron of the NSPCC. That organisation has focussed on work with victims and perpetrators of sexual abuse and exploitation, developing treatment programs. He may not be guilty of a criminal offence but he is 'guilty' of very poor judgement at best. His claims that because he lives in an institution, ie Buck Palace, he's used to 'staff' wandering about, so thought all the young women at Epstein's place were 'staff' - would be laughable if it wasn't offensive. They were 'staff' in some ways, they were there to service Epstein and his friends.
Grandma70 - you ask whether others would "drop their friends because they have done something wrong. I hope I wouldn't at least not instantly" . PA didn't drop his friend 'instantly, he stayed with JE some years after his conviction for sex offences. His explanation that it was a convenient place to stay is nonsensical. He could stay anywhere in NYC.
I don't know who advised PA to do this interview. He'd have been coached and rehearsed before hand. However, it's a total car crash and sadly, what it leads to is the conclusion of a not terribly bright man, who is arrogant, has a huge sense entitlement and no regard whatsoever for the young women trafficked by his friend.
Who was in the photo then?
Epstein was a convicted paedophile and know for his orgy-type of parties where young girls were provided.
His guests including Andrew were flown to his various property in Epstein’s private jet named Lolita Express.
What do you think Andrew was doing when the rest of the men were indulging in goodness knows what with young women procured by Epstein?
Why on earth would he attend these “parties” if he had no intention of indulging in such sordid activities.
Where was the regret shown of the harm done to these children?
I don't believe the girl. I reckon she's after a payout.
Randy Andy has shown appalling judgement and is an entitled sleazebag of a man at best.
He's never going to appear in Court, and all the evidence is circumstantial at best.
.
I hope the NSPCC of which I am a permanent contributor, jettison him forthwith as patron.
I shall be mailing them with that request.
