Sorted, I looked through the thread, noticed what has been deleted and what remains.

I found one deletion ( one of mine) not bad in such a long thread with such strong feelings being expressed. <quite proud of myself>

By the way , many people refer to others by their surname. It’s not necessarily an insult e.g. Mozart,Picasso,Corbyn,

I've never thought it was insulting either. Authors are frequently referred to by their surnames.

Lots of pearl clutching going on here and silly judgements on other people lives. I didn’t know VR was an author /composer/artist/ political leader? Must have missed that one. Silly me. Is that meant really to be a serious defence of calling her by her surname ???

Calling a man by surname only is acceptable, calling a woman by her surname isn’t? Equality ?
