Good Morning Friday

Good morning from a dry and windy S Welsh coast.
Quite a bit of snow yesterday to the north of us, fortunately we usually avoid it here on the coast.
DH has his flu jab today. My friend from Book Club is coming round this afternoon, so we will set the world to rights.

Glorious blue skies here in Spain this morning but only 3 degrees (I can feel a song coming on.......’When will I see you...)

Off to the gym in a jiffy and get my yoga plank and poses out of the way before running through a few sets and reps of light weights - helps me lift the hand luggage into the locker without simpering coyly at the nearest gorgeous young man!

Morning All

I’ll swear it was a clear-ish sky when I looked out at six o’clock but when I just opened the curtains it’s overcast and grey now.

Art class this morning so I’ll be out of DH’s hair (metaphorically speaking!). He’s caught my cold and is suffering so best avoided!

Good morning from a very soggy Black Country.

It didn't stop raining all day yesterday, very heavy too. I went on the train to Birmingham to meet friends in Grand Central for lunch. The train which was on it's way to Stratford on Avon had to terminate at Snow Hill due to flooding on the line. So I had to get off a stop earlier, I was soaked as I ending up going the wrong way and ended up in a circle back to Snow Hill! Found it eventually. There wasn't a dry patch on my gloves!

I am staying put today, as it will be too wet for the Friday morning Health walk. Will make some vegetable soup and do some housework.

Good morning Mick, Beechnut Aggie and all those who post , while I write my daily novel.
It's a tad chilly here in Glasgow. -1 degree.

I'm off out early to a rheumatology appointment, where I'm sure the consultant will insist on increasing my medication dosage. I have resisted for months, using the side effects of my heart pills as an excuse.
These are the ones that there is a shortage of, so I don't know how that will pan out. ?
I'm hoping for a steroid injection in my hand, it's throbbing, but I think I may have had too many already this year.
It will be a stressful journey in town in the rush hour , where I will constantly saying to DH, Bus lane, bus lane BUS LANE!!!.
Anyone who has driven in Glasgow, will tell you how difficult they are to avoid.

I had a lovely catch up with my two friends last night, we have known each other since our children were toddlers.
Much to my annoyance, they got me home early, as I had an early start. I could have sat with them for hours.
It used to be me, who organised everyone.
We used to wander home at all hours, having put the world to rights.

True to form, I had a little escapade at the shops yesterday.
As I opened my car boot, a heavy Bag for life flew out , blew under a car and wrapped itself between the wheel and the axle.
Three things concerned me: The car was spanking new, it was parked beside a big puddle and if the driver drove away, the bag would become entangled in the axle. ?
I tried to get down to move it, but it was stuck fast.
As there was no sign of the driver, I had to get down on the ground, push my walking stick under the car and try to dislodge it. Eventually after much huffing and puffing and a good few expletives, ? I managed to dislodge it.
Unfortunately I couldn't get back up again! ?
It serves me right for not waiting for DH to come with me.

Morning Mick, morning All, it’s dark, still damp and windy in our corner of Somerset. Localised flooding here too, garden is like a very wet sponge. Friends staying so will be finding somewhere with a roof to go. They had an interesting journey here yesterday, began in fog, then through snow before the torrential rain. Thinking of gilly and her family, hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Good morning everyone. It is dry for once in Northampton, so hope to get to Sainsbury's /M&S Food for coffee and my top up shop. I fancy a nice steak for Saturday night!
No cooking tonight as I'm going out for a meal! One of my neighbours has organised a meal out in a country pub for everyone in our little close. Taxis are booked as well, so no driving for anyone. Looking forward to it very much.
Hoping for better news from those with worries.

Morning all from a cold but dry North Leicestershire.

Making a curry as Dd2 and her family are coming this evening so they can meet up with her sisters to take the children to the local street fair tomorrow.

Good Morning all , I have typed a message several times on my Kindle , but each time I pressed send I was logged out , think it is past it's sell by date . Back to the lap top , now forget what pearls of pearls of wisdom I was going to share.
I set the bread maker last night , as i have family arriving at lunch time , and of course I had to get up to see if it was working ! It smells nice in my Kitchen

Dark and NOT raining. What a day yesterday, lots of floods.

Shopping day for me and also taking my friends friend.

Yesterday I took in some parcels for the second time for my new neighbours so when they came to collect I asked if they minded me doing that for them. The delivery driver was soaked to the skin?.

Thinking of you all and hope today will be a good one especially gilly who I see popped in yesterday. ?
