Sad to read that Harry, Megan and Archie will not be with the royal family for Christmas. The Queen and Prince Phillip are so elderly now, who knows if they will be here next year. It would have been lovely to see photos of the family with the little family included. Sign of the times, when even the royal family are being pulled apart.sad

Here we go here we go here we go. FFS annie just shut up about MegHan, just shut up.

I haven't read what Anniebach has said about Meghan. I just want to say, Would you actually speak to someone like this??

suziewoozie Wed 20-Nov-19 22:49:46

And how could I forget - not going to granny in laws for Christmas ???? Yep just ruining the RF.

suziewoozie Wed 20-Nov-19 22:23:37

Here we go here we go here we go. FFS annie just shut up about MegHan, just shut up. If only MegHan held her baby correctly, if only she hadn’t walked down the aisle on her own, if only she never had ideas of her own, if only she never flew on a private jet, if only she wasn’t mixed race. Then the RF could survive mixing with sex offenders and taking money from them.

they survived the public hatred when Diana died , the Queen was a target then, not this time.

If Harry and Megan shut up and do some work things will calm down,

Getting a bit over dramatic now perhaps? It'll blow over.

I agree that this is the beginning of the end for the Royal Family in it's present form.
The Queen has done a magnificent job and I applaud her but things have gone too far now for that respect to be felt again.

Yet another nail in the Monarchy coffin. Such an anachronistic institution in the 21st century. Having said that, like many Gransnetters of a certain age, I was brought up with a deep knowledge of all things Royal (remember 'Crawfie'?).
Still a Republican though......

I am wondering if now would be a good time to install that regency that has been mooted in recent years. Two good reasons now - 1) Charles is likely to be a bit tougher on some of the shenannigans than the Queen, and 2) according to The Express, Prince Philip's health has taken a downturn in recent months and he's been just hanging about the house at Sandringham and not doing his usual pastimes. He's said to not really be well enough to come South. So now might be a good time for the Queen herself to be spending more time in her country house with him - or at least nearby. He's staying at Wood Farm since presumably the main household staff have to hang out where the Queen is staying, so if she stayed at Sandringham they could both be comfortable and fully staffed

They seem to be gone now

suziewoozie Sat 16-Nov-19 23:32:15

I am aching with laughter. See Google reviews for Woking Pizza Express quick before they’re taken down. I’m going to do some screen shots. Well done Andy and Lizzie - you’ve succeeded far quicker in making the House of Windsor a laughing stock than any republican movement could. BP doesn’t really get the power of social media does it ?

suziewoozie Sat 16-Nov-19 23:15:53

jura you’re missing the point

merlotgran Sat 16-Nov-19 23:01:20

I didn't hear him mention anything about working hard.

It was on BBC2 so you should be able to get it on iPlayer, pinkquartz

jura2 Sat 16-Nov-19 22:48:10

Iam64- I will admit I am not 'au fait' with the whole story. Just that a 17 year old is not a young child. The grooming was Epstein's it seems- and it could be Andrew was not aware of this- or that is was under 18.

Certainly to admirer of PA- for sure.

pinkquartz Sat 16-Nov-19 22:40:28

Where can I see or hear this interview.?
Does anyone know?

I wasn't going to bother as it will wind me up no end but,
he really said he works too hard?
Unbelievable!
Perhaps work equals something different in his brain to the rest of us.?

merlotgran Sat 16-Nov-19 22:32:02

^ apparently nobody calls her Kate.^

She was called Kate at university where they met.

When William saw her modelling a revealing outfit, he is heard saying, 'Wow! Kate's hot!'

The footage was shown many times on TV in the early days of their relationship.

grapefruitpip Sat 16-Nov-19 22:19:14

suzie, disgusting, vile old man " one of whom took his own life".

Saetana Sat 16-Nov-19 22:13:33

William and Catherine have spent Christmas with her parents before now - why on earth should Harry and Meghan not spend the occasional Christmas with her mother? This so-called news article is just another excuse for some to express their vitriolic media-fueled dislike of Harry and Meghan. And can we please stop calling her "Meghan Markle" - she is Meghan, Duchess of Sussex! For that matter, calling Catherine "Kate Middleton" is not appropriate either - apparently nobody calls her Kate, its a media invention. Both ladies took their husband's names when they married and we should respect that. I honestly don't care which members of the royal family have Christmas with the Queen, or with their own families. People are taking offense on behalf of the Queen needlessly, another stick to beat Meghan with.

Iam64 Sat 16-Nov-19 21:08:23

Jura, I’m surprised that you seek to compare your 17 year old self with the young woman in this case. You say you knew what you were doing, the implication is so did she.
She was picked up at 15 and groomed to provide sex for JE and his friends and associates, she was the subject of what is now called child sexual exploitation.

Anniebach Sat 16-Nov-19 18:39:57

Cringe time

Whitewavemark2 Sat 16-Nov-19 18:28:14

Something to look forward to - or not?.

If you think the extracts of the Prince Andrew interview were extraordinary, you aint seen nothing yet. I've read the whole thing. It is utterly jaw-dropping from start to finish. It is an articulated lorry crash of gripping behind-the-hands horror

merlotgran Sat 16-Nov-19 18:20:21

Almost as hilarious as Sarah Ferguson calling him, 'This giant of a principled man.' grin

suziewoozie Sat 16-Nov-19 17:58:54

The more I hear about the interview the more I ???????. When asked what his weaknesses were he said and I kid you not ‘ I work too hard’??????????. Absolute car crash - more gems tomorrow no doubt.

Anniebach Sat 16-Nov-19 17:53:02

His actions could have been interpreted !

suziewoozie Sat 16-Nov-19 17:45:00

And the Peter Ball case. Just what is it with HM ‘s two eldest sons and paedophiles?
