TV licence over 75,s

if you read the report its based on incomes as well , so if the person has x pensions they would pay , but if they rely on just the state pension as a single person with pension credit its a different story .
On the other hand , to means test everyone is going to cost more than abolishing the TV Licence altogether.

I think it applies for the older person in residence.
If one is 70 the other is 75 you don`t pay.

I would have been eligible next April, so won't get it now. And DH died just before he became eligible.

My DH turned 75 last August-I’m 70-he applied online and, at the mo, we’re not paying and, as we pay by monthly direct debit we even got a refund!

I presume if the rule stays you will get it for the house in your husbands name if the ruling goes then you won’t get it at all

Does your DH get Pension Credit?
If so, I presume he - and you by default - will get a free licence.

Sorry, I can't see why you think your age will make any difference. You are not eligible as you are not 75 your husband is, end of story.
Your DH will loose his entitlement if this is passed.
