Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.

Sorry should read gransnet ...not Branson.....usual me always in a pickle......

Granniesunite Fri 15-Nov-19 20:25:13

I am fairly new to this too and love reading and laughing at the stories and adventures of the wonderful people on Branson. I was born sept 1952 so that makes me 67.

Brilliant idea Marydoll. That should be so very interesting. Thank you.

Age simply records the number of years the world has had to put up with you!

My nurse today told me that she, and others, found that the big 30 was the biggest shock of growing "old"; subsequent hurdles were progressively easier to handle.
Why do these milestones become obsessions?
I've passed by several in my time and now hopefully looking forward to the really "big one". grin
Mind you, me and Freda could be hit by a bus tomorrow! sad

Thank you on behalf of all of us Marydoll ?

It will be interesting to see!

Juno56 Thu 14-Nov-19 15:20:45

I'm 63, have been a member of GN for a few months but only posted a few times. My first grandchild, a girl, is due in a couple of weeks.

Marydoll Thu 14-Nov-19 14:54:06

Well I have started the spreadsheet to collate the ages! It will take forever, as so many people have posted their age and they keep on coming!!!
I obviously lead a very dull life, but I do like a challenge.
Well done Urmonstongran, ? this must be one of the most popular threads ever!! grin

boheminan Thu 14-Nov-19 14:30:26

Another '48er here, so 71....I thinkhmm

NanKate Thu 14-Nov-19 14:30:08

Gulligranny you don’t look it on our two meetings and I’m not joking. ?

Urmstongran Thu 14-Nov-19 14:10:10

Yes Stansgran but I don’t know about you but Googling something (love it’s become a verb!) still has the wow factor for me because I’ve not gown up with the Internet. Youngsters just take it for granted!

Stansgran Thu 14-Nov-19 14:05:04

74 and 2 months.
Interesting that for old codgers we are all on computers.

chaffinch Thu 14-Nov-19 13:48:32

66, 67 in a couple of months, 5 grandchildren.

pinkquartz Thu 14-Nov-19 11:45:43

I am 66 and feel over 100 !

GrandmasueUK I would love to know your business smile
what kind of business have you set up ? I also have many health issues which is why my poor body feels so old.

Ooh yes please Marydoll I think that would be fantastic! You are very clever to be able to collate something we could all share from the data given.

So many posters have contributed to this thread in so short a period of time - it literally ‘took off’ didn’t it? - that shows the level of interest a pleasant, inclusive topic generated.

Plus, it would make you sit down and physically relax .....

HootyMcOwlface Thu 14-Nov-19 10:17:21

Gonegirl Thu 14-Nov-19 09:57:53

merlotgran Thu 14-Nov-19 09:36:09

gillybob Thu 14-Nov-19 08:50:13

I am 57 but look and feel 97 at the moment .

rubysong Thu 14-Nov-19 08:37:10

I have another month left of being 67 and today my 'baby' (DS2) is 40 and he has recently become a father for the second time. Yesterday at 'Walking Wednesday' in the village we had a wonderful 90 year old lady with us. She swims in her outdoor pool most of the year. I hope I'm in the same shape when I reach her age!

Bellanonna Thu 14-Nov-19 08:33:45

I was 79 in September. I worked part-time until I was 72. I struggle a bit with the thought of the next milestone birthday but I know it’s only a number.

mary51 Thu 14-Nov-19 08:19:53

67 for three more weeks. Been reading GN for a couple of years but have not posted much. I love reading the Good Morning post as everyone is so friendly.

Proud gran to a darling toddler.
