Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are? I’m surprised for example to read if a poster is a great grandmother or is ‘going out to work now’.

I’m 65y.

64 here and doing my best to live on for my two younger sisters who died of c.f. all those year's ago. I often think that could have been me.
I retired from teaching at 58 and love being in charge of my own day. I'm so grateful I was able to do this quite comfortably as my state pension cannot be claimed until I am 66.
My life revolves mostly around my family. I'm on grandma duty, along with DH, two days a week. We help ferry our GC to various classes on occasions too and school holidays are generally very busy.
Being able to organise holidays within school term time cheaply has been a welcome bonus in retirement. I love it.

I can't remember whether I've already replied . I'm 83, 84 next Feb. if I'm still here.
I think our oldest member is Bijou, she's in her 90s.

Sounds like you’re going to have your work cut out, Marydoll. grin

Just pop me down as 5 foot 10 and 9 stone, will you? A girl can dream.

Haud the bus, as we say here in Glasgow.

This spreadsheet is growing by the minute, without height, weight, etc. being added.
You will be wanting hobbies, place of residence, favourite TV programmes , favourite shops, favourite foods next!!! grin

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 17:20:30

You can request what you like. I do stones, pounds, and ounces.

Gonegirl Sat 16-Nov-19 17:19:05

In reply to Gonegirl; from which end did you lose the four and a half inches; top or bottom? Or do mean you can't balance in " Heels" any more? hmm
Btw; we requested weight in Kg; everything is metric here! smile

Another statistic for you Marydoll. I'm 75, still choral singing, line dancing( yee haa), minding DGD's, lunching with friends, running a club for Senior Citizens, heavily involved in Church activities and generally keeping going.(Not forgetting being a GN gamer!)

Rufus2 Sat 16-Nov-19 08:27:20

Would it be considered rude of me to ask how old we are
Urmston; Dare you to be even ruderer and invite info on Weight(kg) to Age ratios!. grin After scoffing several mince pies, I've just broken though the Mach 1 equivalent! sad

Jomarie Fri 15-Nov-19 23:01:09
