Car smells!!!!

Yes I have that smell only ours is caused by getting the car valeted inside and out, stupid people power washed the removable carpets!!!! Beggars belief doesn’t it. They were soaked for a week and we had it done on our way on holiday so couldn’t do much about it.!

The fact that we were inside the car wash cafe having a breakfast while the car was done then arriving at our destination to wonder where the wet on my bag which was by my feet had come from and then realised what they had done. I’ve seen them power wash rubber mats but not carpet ones!

My DH’s car smells like this but she has a leaking sunroof.

Has a seal broken on one of the windows? I couldn't understand why there was a smell in one of my cars years ago. It wouldn't demist properly either and it turned out to be because the seal on one of the windows was broken.

This is so weird - the inside of my car stinks - a sort of mouldy smell. I think it relates to the fact that my GS spilt a bottle full of water into the footwell - but it is such a strong smell - I cannot believe that carpet (?) has started to rot so fast! I have also had a problem with not being able to demist the windscreen properly. I think some liquid must have got into somewhere I cannot see/feel and when I use the heater it is evaporating and misting things up.

I do not have a clue what I can do - if I could crawl around in the car I could probably find the source - but I can't!

Anyone else had this problem?
