Good morning all from a wet Glasgow.
I have been awake since 5.30am, so I took myself into the spare room and finished my GN book, A Single Thread
I'm happy to post it to anyone who would like to read it, just PM me.
I also managed to get the dishwasher working again, which DH had given up on. He insisted it need replaced, but I couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of getting a new integrated one, so had a go at fixing it. It takes, a woman's touch! ?
I’m off out early to the doctors to see if the elusive medication has been sourced. This has been going on for three weeks and I’m down to my last tablet. I’m like a dog with a bone, phoning all and sundry to get a result.
As predicted, I bumped into people I had been at school with at the service yesterday. One woman I hadn’t seen in forty years, but I recognised her straight away. There were others who had been at school with my husband’s brothers and we spent ages over a cuppa reminiscing about the scary teachers who had taught us and the things they used to ask us to do; e.g going to the shops for cigarettes for them at lunchtime, going to the grocers for their shopping in school time and doing the staff dishes after lunch.
As we are all retired teachers, we wondered what the consequences of doing that nowadays would be!
After coming home, I promptly fell asleep! All that talking must have worn me out.
As always those who are poorly are in my thoughts and prayers, especially Dragonfly and Susan's DH and of course our dear Gilly and her husband.
May we continue to support them with our positive suggestions and comments.
Over the years I have got the impression that Gilly's family business is in a specialised field, which makes it all the harder to get help to keep it running. I do hope something can be done.
