Thank you all for your good wishes. We haven't been home very long. We now need to wait for the results of the CT scan. Not a bad journey. Weather was kind. Roadworks minimal. Time to put on my "baggy glad rags" and relax.

After care home visit in the morning, I shall return to hopefully catch up with all the news.

Smokie came home just as it was dusk and he was way up on the garage roof pacing backwards and forwards making lots of noise so we just wondered what it was that he could see and we couldn't. Glad to have enticed him in anyway and pleased he is in one piece. Impossible to keep him in as he does 'the wall of death' until we give in!

Soop you will be interested to know that Wilma has gone to London for two nights with DS, staying in hotels in Heathrow and Kensington, no less. Whilst DS is at the office, his colleague and good friend's wife is taking her to Richmond Park. I am very envious. Wilma on Tour.
DIL meanwhile is leaving tomorrow for a medical conference in Barcelona until Tuesday. I hope the protestors have left the airport there.
DS managed to mow the lawns front and back this afternoon, they have been like a paddy field. He thinks that the mower will have to go in for a service. He also emptied all the pots and hanging baskets. We have a garden waste collection every two weeks, up until November this year. It has been a lovely day here but it is raining heavily now.
Hope all goes well for *MacSporran's scan in Oban tomorrow soop, I will be thinking of you.

Dear Lins You are going through a tough time. Chronic pain is mind blowingly relentless. All good wishes to you for a satisfactory resolution.

My sympathy, Lins. I had a fractured vertebra which took several months to diagnose and was so painful I must have overdosed on painkillers. It was cured by injecting superglue under pressure and I left hospital a new woman. And all done without a general anaesthetic too. Worth looking up, though not every surgeon will do it so you would need to shop around if you were interested.

A much better night and a good day. Normal service is resumed in Cornerland

I hope you are taking the x2 antibiotics that are (usually I think) given for diverticulitis. They seem to clear my bouts up in a week. It’s a very painful disorder. Do take care!

Home at last. The ironing session was a marathon. Never mind, it's all over for this week. after a short break I shall endeavour to tackle my personal mini mountain.

Good afternoon everyone. I did my overnight babysit, the two school runs and then came home and went back to bed. Just woken up and feeling much more human but I cannot see how DS and DiL can go to work after a night of being kicked to bits by those two. Harrumph!

Panache do be careful, please! We are counting on you being one of those 90+ and even 100+ and promenading to lunch like all those other ladies!

Lins thank you (and others) for the good wishes for Himself. I am a little concerned about how the stump is looking at present and am just hoping I am looking after it in the right way, doing my best anyway.

Well, I have just let Smokie out to 'play' after having grounded him for two days to make sure he is ok. He had arrived home in a mess, very late, without his collar and very excited. Clearly he has discovered the badger and during yesterday evening he was dashing between the sitting room window and the sun room and 'chittering' and making funny noises. I bought another collar yesterday and we managed to get it on him after a bit of a struggle and the look he gave me can only be described as a really 'filthy look' as if to say that he had spent weeks trying to get rid of the last one and he was back to square one! I hope he will come home before dusk but somehow doubt it.

Ginger nuts on the side so dunk away. It is a beautiful sunny day here and I hope the sun is shining for you also. TOYA x

I had (clearly erroneously) formed the impression that your significant mobility issues had meant you were virtually (frequently) wheelchair bound. But a “thorough clean inside” and now planning to sweep up leaves?
You must be careful not to overdo it.

Good to hear from you Panache. I hope the house sale now progresses smoothly but don't wear yourself out clearing leaves for the new people. I am sure they won't mind a few leaves in the garden. I hope your leg heals soon and Mr Panache continues to have the strength to go to the hospital twice a week.

Trying to find a moment to pop into our favourite kitchen but time is truly something hard to find at the moment.My dear one has seemingly yet more Hospital appointments meaning at least two trips most weeks,my leg remains struggling to heal,whilst the grandfinale of our struggling house sale is coming to a close.
I managed a thorough clean inside earlier this week and today a lovely sunny and dry day I hope to do a spot of outside cleaning up,mainly all the leaf fall etc as I do so want the new people to start without all that to add to their moving in ...............remembering that it is never that pleasant!!!

Am absolutely so sorry hearing of all that is happening in your life..........and health.........Lins1066 and I can but add I shall be thinking of you,hoping and trusting you find that long term relief ...........and soon.

Talking about all these spritely ninety year olds believe me we are well endowed here!!! In fact I have one such dear "under my wing" as it were,she is a delightful 92 year old almost blind from MD,she has the most terrific sense of humour and certainly brings a lot of laughter with her!!!
I would also say these 90 + ladies are amongst the best looking,not a line or wrinkle to be seen and yes very smart dressers too.

Synonymous I enjoyed reading about your 90 year olds' exploits. My husband's parents lived to 94 and 93, a tough generation who lived through a lot.

Hello everyone. What smashing pictures, a delight to see.

You may remember that I had a scan on Tuesday? I saw the Consultant for the results this afternoon. I have a fracture in my spine, which hopefully will heal itself over time. Also there was something showing up near some metalwork by a previous fusion. I knew that there was something very wrong and was dreading it. He is fitting me into his clinic on Thursday morning and I'm to have an X-ray standing up as this will hopefully show more of what is going on. I just hope that I can stand for the required time.
I already had an appointment later in the morning for an injection in my foot, so I'm having a 2 for 1 as it were.
It is very difficult to sleep, although I feel drained.
Over the last few nights I have watched all 15 episodes of Bleak House on iplayer on the iPad. I can hear my late mother saying - you'll have square eyes.
As I appear to be the last in the very new, very tidy kitchen tonight, I will switch off the light and hope for cake, any cake tomorrow.
I will catch up with all the news but slow down a bit please, give a girl a chance.
