N&G what beautiful hair your GD has. Lucky her!
Three cheers for MacS. He has installed the new bathroom wall heater. The power is back. He's in one piece...me too. It took some considerable time and (he tells me) patience. He now claims to have saved us £70. I therefore suggested that he puts cash in the holiday fund box. He smiled. Went off to make me a
.
Wishing you all a very pleasant evening. Thank you for your company. Until tomorrow's visit...TOYA

My second son is 56 today. Had I not been there at the time, I would have sworn he is a mere lad.
Blowing a wotsit. The ferry is sailing. I bet it's a bit of a bumpy voyage out there.
Just this minute been told that one of the feral feline family kits has been found dead. Naturally, feeling very sad.
Oh, that's sad soop when you've been putting so much love into looking after the feral felines.
Our neighbour told us yesterday that our rather aloof ginger tom spends quite a bit of time at their house where he rolls over to have his tummy tickled The traitor!!!
chicken Your rather aloof ginger tom sounds amazing. I would happily tickle his tummy.
soop I am so sorry to hear that. The feral cats have been so well looked after and fed.
I wish bullyboy would stay away from Tara's front door- he terrifies her.
The sun has shone all day here but there has been a nip in the air not helped by the stairlift man, obviously born in a field who left my front door open for ages.
Luckily I had been shown the part to be replaced but I did not know its name because he brought in a totally different part. Anyway, with luck, it has finally been sorted. I still have not been asked to pay a penny and this has been going on since the end of August. My bank balance is saying nowt.
TOYA
Charleyg I feel so sorry for Tara. That bully boy is a menace.
Am not working at full throttle today. Weather is atrocious. Huge crashing waves battering the shore.
I shall return after the care home visit in the morning. TOYA

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be Thine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
Over the years he has nipped her on one of her rear legs which has become infected costing me a lot of money at the vet but more importantly, she was in agony. Me squirting water at him does little but he does not like me which is good. I do not know where he lives.
Lovely poem, maw and smashing photo.
Its 35 years ago today that my father died. My brothers have both been to where his ashes are buried, together with mum's, but, to me, he isnt there.
Sorry to hear about the feral kit, soop.
The weather here is wet (inside and out) and I have a dreadful cold and sinusitis and, to add insult to injury, I have been to the dentist!
Charley, put some citronella oil in the water, cats hate it!
kitty
Evening All. I truly hope your cold is a different variety to the one still lurking in corner land kitty. Mr C is improving again thank goodness, I’m still dizzy when I am foolish enough to bend my head, flipping sinus aggravation, neither of us possess much in the way of energy. Oh well, this too will pass and there are far more serious things in the world. Seriously frustrating though.
I’m so sorry about the cat soop, upsetting news. A gold star for macs with the heater. An excellent outcome. You sound in need of a rest, hope you sleep well.
That’s a beautiful poem maw. How are you?
Good to have the stair lift sorted Charley even if you froze in the process. Hope Tara is home and safe.
Good night everyone, TOYA, take care.
Sorry you're afflicted, kitty. Have you got one of those sinus rinse kits? There are sachets of a saline mixture which you put in a squeezy bottle and spray it up your nose. Strangely enough, it does help. I have the dentist on Wednesday. For once, I haven't had to visit him between routine checks. Hope those weren't famous last words.
Has the storm abated yet, soop? Having been brought up on the Firth of Clyde, I still miss a good south westerly! Keep warm and cosy.
Oh kitty sinus pain is awful, it just makes everything seem such a struggle. Hope you feel better soon. I’m not sure why but I feel a bit tearful today. I’ve been thinking of my youngest granddaughter. Everyone thinks of her as the awkward, difficult one, not me we’re very close. She’s bright and astute. She’s the only one that’s ever asked me questions about her mummy’s illness. Anyway the whole lot of them came for Sunday dinner. She loves card games and is very competitive, winning has always been important to her. Half way through the game she suddenly piped up I’m not playing anymore. She put down her cards and sat with her mummy saying “I’m playing with mummy because she can’t see the cards” Her mummy’s sight is so very bad now most everyday tasks are beyond her. I’m not sure why I’m still feeling so sad about it. Odd isn’t it
My son walked out of work last week, I’ve been worried about him for a while but can’t convince him to visit our very sympathetic doctor, he just won’t go and I don’t want to turn into a nag. My DiL mum looks broken and has been telling me our son isn’t supporting his wife. I know it’s worse for her family but it’s hard watching this unfold on the sidelines. Once again I’m sorry for not keeping up with your posts and thank you for letting me get this off my chest. It helps enormously
Morethan I am so very sorry to read your post. Your GD is beautiful. My DD was alway the awkward one but has blossomed into an amazing young woman.
Would your son ring the Samaritans or he could text SHOUT to 85258 day or night and they would text back support. It is unfair for your DiL's family to criticise your son - he is suffering probably more than your DiL. It is a tremendous burden he is carrying and cannot be expected to be strong all the time.
I am sorry you are being torn morethan
Your DIL’s mother is going through her own hell and perhaps her anger at this tragedy is just being vented on your son as the nearest one. Of course he will also be trying to cope in his own way - which may not be hers.
Your little DGD sounds a very sensitive and perceptive child - to be cherished.
There are no “ups” to this sad situation, but the existence and support of a loving family iis something to be profoundly grateful for
On a more cheerful note - Hattie nearly lying on the sofa, in the sun!
The second pic speaks for itself
Quick update to report all well here, Himself has had his stitches removed and the multi colours are fading fast.
Dear morethan I am not surprised you are feeling tearful when you are dealing with so much. Your littlest DGD would seem to be highly empathetic and will need a great deal of support now and very much in the future. As for your son he is clearly struggling not only with the situation as is but with the future for the family. Your DDIL's family are obviously hurting so much but they also need to support your DS. Nobody knows what happens in a marriage except the couple themselves so the family actually have no idea what is going on between the two of them and their support should be for the whole family. Such a difficult situation for you all and we two are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
morethan
A very hard road for you all.
When my S came home from work yesterday he told me one of the girls had rung in to say she wouldn't be in that day, she had had to have her cat put to sleep.
He really couldn't understand , yet he seems quite fond of Molly!!
A dreadful day weatherwise here today although the heavy rain has eased off to a drizzle.
Still breezy and cold though.
I am waiting for a Sainsbury's delivery in the next half hour, it is all alchohol.
Most are for gifts for folk who have been kind to me but just one very small bottle of gin sneaked in.
TOYA
ann, you shock me. Only a very small bottle of gin?
????
ann I echo anno's post. Surely you deserve a full size bottle. It will last a little longer.
Maw Lovely tribute to Paw. Hattie looks ever so comfortable as she lolls on the sofa. She most certainly has a good home with you. Bless her.
morethan I agree that your granddaughter is a beautiful young lady. As for your dear son and his depression (which is perfectly understandable) he needs and deserves expert help. What you and your family has had to cope with for so long, would be unbearable without support.
An enormous get well (((hug))) for Mr Synonymous. I'm certain that you are giving him plenty of tender loving care.
Charleyg The advice given by granniesyb is well worth consideration. Give it a whirl.
kitty inflamed sinuses are beyond a buggeration. Our GP always stresses that steam inhalation is the best form of treatment.
Not such a bad day weatherwise. The waves are enormous. I love watching them crash over the rocks.
