How weird is this,after posting about my Ankh up popped a post on FB with a siamese siver bracelet thet had been found in alocal suermarket .Its very distinctive black with silver edges and silver dragons on it.It couldn't be anything else only siamese silver.I reposted it to all my 60 ish friends in case it belongs to one of them or thir 60ish friends ...lol

I remember the local brewery with horses and cart, and pretty sure I remember the milkman and coalman with horse and cart too. All 1950s.

I remember the milkman coming with a horse when I was very small. As children dds found this absolutely hilarious - '... back in the really olden days, Mum, when you were little...'.

My brother got his fingers bitten by a delivery horse.
He was trying to feed it a piece of bread on his palm but had his fingers curled up a bit.
He was probably 4 or 5 years old.

I still have a small strip of metal with my name stamped in it.
There used to be a machine at the local railway station where you could do this for, maybe, 2d.

Loved my pogo stick.. Not sure if you can still buy them? It used to drive my dad wild because it squeaked and marked the flooring.. Aah! In primary school, we had leather satchels which we wore on our back. Much like the rucksacks used by children today.

A jubbly was a big treat on the way home from school in summer. We always ended up with lime green and orange moustaches.

Does anyone remember those wall fixing tea-caddies? They were filled from the top with loose tea,of course, and had a button that you pressed to chute tea into the pot.
