Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but at the moment it looks dry here in Brackley.
Reflecting back to Harrogate , I had a single room , which maybe for say 3 days at the most would have been ideal but 10 days , the term not enough room to swing a cat applied.
Mick

Happy Wednesday to all of you from Australia where it’s 10.12 pm on a slightly chilly trying hard to rain evening.

Auntieflo Wed 02-Oct-19 12:24:12

A very late Good. Morning from me.
Hi Michael and Annie and all others.
Thank you to those who sent good wishes. I had a comfortable night, waking every couple of hours. No pain, but was hot, so had the window open a bit, then felt selfish as one lady was cold. Two of the ladies hardly slept at all, but one has gone home just now.
I am up, washed, but not dressed, yet.
I will be able to go home when I have met the criteria for discharge, I am trying, honest.
All the staff here are lovely, and I am by a window, high up, so can see over the roof tops to trees and playing fields, and it is sunny, bonus.
My crochet is not growing very fast, as I count the stitches and undoing a row, but it keeps me busy, and I can't concentrate in my book.
Gillybob, you really shouldn't be back at work, but I understand. Take care.
Have a good day one and all

Hope you didn’t get too wet up in Harrogate, Mick. The weather was awful for the world cycling event!

Resurgam123 Wed 02-Oct-19 11:29:56

I tried posting earlier and I "lost" it. A late Good morning to all.
About time I showed my face in Gransnet.

Good morning
It's a lovely bright morning here today - much better than yesterday which was very wet.
Going to the pictures today to see Downton Abbey with SiL's and niece. It's years since I last went to the pictures. Looking forward to it.
Hope you all have a good Wednesday.

Cool but bright sunshine in North Somerset. Nothing planned except a supermarket run which DH regards as an outing these days. No good if I am in a hurry though because he stops to read very label if allowed!

Mythbirtthedragon Wed 02-Oct-19 09:37:50

Good morning from SE Northumberland, bright and brisk this morning. Had a good walk around Keilder yesterday as the rain stopped when we got there and the sun came out. Back off to London today, will pop in to see my aunt before we go; she’s the last of my dad’s siblings. I always stay longer than I mean to once we get chatting; DP is convinced my timing is tuned to when he’s finished packing the car. Hope you have a good day.

Feelingmyage55 Wed 02-Oct-19 09:08:42

Good morning from still only 1 degree in the north of Scotland. Should get “warmer” as the sun goes round. Washing on the line but I know it won’t dry. Colours of the trees are stunning, yellows and gold and the air is crisp and clean. Off to meet a friend for an early coffee while we can still hear ourselves in the cafe. Is it us or do we have to speak louder above the music? Have the best day you can especially those suffering from flu and or flooding.

Newquay Wed 02-Oct-19 09:08:20

Morning all from a bright Staffs-put a wash on last night as forecast dry today so will do some gardening-all at arm’s length cos of spiders-yuk!
Is your train journey a through journey Sar? We have a 3 hour journey to DD2 in Harrogate on Friday. Will want to start using train soon but it means changing at either B’ham or Manc. Did it once from Manc-absolutely appalling, talk about cattle class! Couldn’t even find my reserved seat. Was about to sit on a table when a kind man took pity on me and moved his child (!) so I could sit down. Think will book assistance when we start to travel by train-anyone done that?

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning from dreich, grey Aberdeenshire.

Well folks, Christmas is coming...Tesco shelves are stacked with Quality Street etc., competing for space with the Halloween pumpkins. Whatever happened to neepy lanterns? I blame the Americans.

The mutt will get a long romp in the woodies this morning...he's a bit of a stinker so a wet walk might sweeten him a bit.

Have a good day!

GrannyGravy13 Wed 02-Oct-19 08:47:54

Goodmorning from a bright and sunny SE Essex.

Off to the gym this morning, then out to dinner tonight with Mr,Gravy and eldest AC who is staying here for a few nights.

Hope your nest clears up gillybob, and it's nearly Friday.

Good morning from a bright NE.
It must have been very cold last night, I was shivering when I got up for the bathroom during the night.
DH has GP appointment after lunch so not going far today.
Take care of yourself gilly, try not to get chilled.

Sar53 Wed 02-Oct-19 08:40:43

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. I'm off to Leamington today to spend a few days with DD1 and my three lovely granddaughter s. It will be hectic and noisy but as I haven't seen them since July it will be lovely. The three hour journey by
train is the worst bit !!!
I hope that all not feeling well will feel better soon.
Have a good day everyone.

Susan56 Wed 02-Oct-19 08:23:56

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear, bright corner of Somerset, a very welcome change. Coffee morning and hopefully a visit from the plumber who didn’t make it yesterday. There seem to be a few poorly people this morning, hope you all feel much better soon and Wednesday is kind to everyone.

dragonfly46 Wed 02-Oct-19 08:12:18

Good morning, bright and sunny here in Leicestershire.

Driving through lots of water yesterday afternoon - I haven’t seen floods like it before.

Will go and see my mum today and then Sainsburys.

Hope you are feeling better Gilly and your operation went well AuntieFlo.

Harris27 Wed 02-Oct-19 08:09:47

Morning all. Nice bright sunny day in the ne. Will do the same as teal get my towels on the line before work. Got to midweek two more days then free for the weekend sound like gillybob! My youngest son doing Alzheimer’s walk on Saturday in Memory if my mam. So proud of him. Have a good day all.

gillybob Wed 02-Oct-19 08:09:02

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a chilly but bright start and promises of a nice day with temperatures reaching a balmy 12 degrees later!

DH and I both had a slightly better night , we were in my up about 6 times between us which is bloomin marvellous. My chest is still quite painful and the cough is driving me nuts but I’m up and showered and will have to go into “that place” today sadly . My little office will be freezing as it gets no sun and the shutters would have been down since Friday so I think I might need my thermals .

Been thinking about Auntieflo and hoping she had a comfortable night.

To all those feeling poorly I hope your feel better soon and to those with plans for exciting trips and holidays I hope you have the best times.

Have a good Wednesday everyone x

kittylester Wed 02-Oct-19 07:52:57

Morning all from a dry but chilly North Leicestershire.

First day of a new Carer's course this afternoon - assuming I can get out of the village. I love meeting the new participants and always marvel at how resilient they are.

Have a lovely Wednssday everyone.

Urmstongran Wed 02-Oct-19 07:52:13

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where we have a beautiful start to the day.

No plans for me today so will chill, read, email and ring a couple of friends later. A friend is picking up tickets for us at the Trafford Centre cinema as tomorrow night we want to see ‘Judy’ (Garland) with Renee Zellwegger. Can’t wait!

4 weeks today we fly back to Spain but who’s counting ha!

Hope Wednesday is kind to us all whether we have any plans or (like me) none. Trust you are feeling better today gillybob x

Alygran Wed 02-Oct-19 07:50:20

Good morning. There’s a lovely blue sky here in North Yorkshire today.
Plumber coming to sort out some bits and pieces. Quick wash on before he comes.
Not much else today so may do a bit of gardening once the bin has been emptied.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Marydoll Wed 02-Oct-19 07:44:41

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow, it's only one degree here , Kate! It is positively balmy in your neck of the woods! grin

I have been "out of the game", for a few days, vomitting all ofMonday night and my chest wasn't too good either. I was ready to get out my funeral plan, as I thought the end was pretty near. grin.

We also had our wee granddaughter yesterday and she wasn't too well with her chest either. It was a verrrrry long day!

Sending my very best wishes to Auntieflo and Gilly, hoping they are feeling better.
I shall be having a very easy day. today.

Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Teal Wed 02-Oct-19 07:44:34

Good Morning from the NE. It’s pretty chilly but a bright blue sky. I’m going to wash the sheets today and get them on the line. My garden is south facing so washing usually dries even in depths of winter. Nothing better than line dried sheets to climb into at bedtime.
DH has an appointment for a blood test this afternoon and I’m off to work.
Hope everyone’s day is a pleasant one.

Lins1066 Wed 02-Oct-19 07:39:51

Good Morning Mick and all, lovely sunrise here on the S Welsh coast.
I have put some sheets in the machine and am now having a cup of tea.
We had a meal out last evening which we enjoyed very much, thought the heavens opened as we drove home.

Hope everyone has a pleasant day and best wishes to gilly and those with hospital appointments and worries. ?
