No one needed a law degree to know Johnson was doing something dodgy. Until the judgement no one was sure if it was technically legal or not, and whether therefore he could have got away with his dodgy plan. Well I am English going back many generations and was have been a huge fan of the Queen until recently. Over the years I have been told over and over how well informed the Queen is about all things political and historical. If she signed something that was ruled unlawful there is no way she didn't know what was going on. And no, contrary to popular thought, she cannot be forced to sign a paper.

I think some are incredibly naive if they don't think this announcement has been conveniently timed as the accusations about Andrew make headlines. Release a nice comforting story to counteract the scandal. Personally I'm with paddyanne, get rid of the lot of them.
