Lets take the plebs minds off the mess the government sin and get Lizzies name out the frame ...A WEDDING .The fools will love that and they'll be so delighted they'll forget about everything else ...even the cost of it .
REALLY!! is England so gullible ?

Bridgeit Sun 29-Sept-19 19:46:29

Do photographers have to be vetted, or can they just rock up with a camera , snap away & sell photos at will , I’m, genuinely interested.
Do you have to have a badge or something, or promise you don’t pose a threat ?

Bridgeit Sun 29-Sept-19 19:35:20

Paddyann am I correct in thinking that you are a professional photographer paid for photos you take of the (Royal )family ?

gallusquine Sun 29-Sept-19 19:16:20

Wow Anniebach are you a conspiracy theorist ?
SirChenjin Scottish Tory, Scottish Labour, Scottish Greens; Scottish LibDem added together have more votes than SNP I take your point but I can’t see a coalition of those 4 parties anytime soon

SirChenjin Sun 29-Sept-19 18:44:19

They have gallus - but the majority of the voting public in Scotland don’t vote for them.

Anniebach Sun 29-Sept-19 18:38:23

Perhaps a thread for the SNP ?

gallusquine Sun 29-Sept-19 18:34:03

“ most of us in Scotland wish the SNP would push off “
Jane10 who are the “us” you refer to ? It can’t be the voting public given that the SNP have been the elected governing party for the last 12 years .

Grannyrebel Sun 29-Sept-19 10:32:38

I love the Queen and won't have anything said against her!

SirChenjin Sun 29-Sept-19 09:26:00

Yes Jane - really.

Jane10 Sun 29-Sept-19 08:46:36

Hear hear Newquay!

Newquay Sun 29-Sept-19 08:18:14

I’m pleased for any young couple setting out on life together. Pity about previous relationship and especially a child that’s involved, through no fault of its own. As long as they don’t receive ANYTHING from the public purse while the rest of us are struggling they can do what they like IMHO!

Jane10 Sun 29-Sept-19 08:06:25

Good heavens SirChengin. Really?
Westminster has been tied up in knots over brexit. The 'Scottish Govt' has absolutely no such excuse for 11 years of inept running of Scotland. Hospitals, schools, the police etc etc etc all in a mess and taxpayers money frittered away on expensive SNP vanity projects.

SirChenjin Sat 28-Sept-19 22:49:07

I don’t want independence but neither do I want to live in a UK run by the extreme right wingers outside of the EU. Paddyann will no doubt be surprised to hear me say this but I would prefer independence to many years of the worst kind of Tory Govt. and I genuinely never thought I’d say that.

AllotmentLil Sat 28-Sept-19 22:44:29

Another Scot who doesn’t want independence.
#just saying

OmaforMaya Sat 28-Sept-19 22:09:52

I'm Scottish by birth and by the Grace of God I'm British ..living in Scotland and yes Her Majesty is my queen. Along with numerous Scots who believe in the United Kingdom and not in the Independence garbage that is ruining Scotland. We have a First Minister who has had a childhood dream of breaking away from England to be independent but to stay attached to the EU and be ruled by Brussells. Really....Independence? The woman and her party are empty headed idiots.

Jane10 Sat 28-Sept-19 19:53:47

Press? Gutter press! Trying to make a story out of nothing much. Photos of the Royal family sell papers. Business is business.

Anniebach Sat 28-Sept-19 19:50:59

The visit to S.A. was arranged months aso.

There has been no more written about the engagement.

If you think the press would choose to cover an engagement over any further info on allegations your choice.

paddyann Sat 28-Sept-19 19:41:33

good to see so many who agree with me ,this "engagement " was very conveniently timed for a variety of reasons, not least Randy Andy 's press coverage .The same with the baby on show to Desmond Tutu and the pictures of Harry all over themedia today "following in his mothers footsteps" that should take the heat out of his "c\rbon footprint issue" well for a couple of days at least .

Anniebach Sat 28-Sept-19 17:29:05

With the exception of Anne and Edward, (think we will see little of Andrew)

The direct line to the throne - Charles, William,

Official engagements are carried out by these and regrettably
In my opinion, Harry , so it is being slimmed down
it is being slimmed down

Chucky Sat 28-Sept-19 17:06:09

Another who thinks the Royal Family are an outdated entity. I can just about bear the queen, but the thought of Charles on the throne sickens me!

With regard to Beatrice, no doubt Andrew will expect that his daughter is so important that she deserves a fancy televised wedding, with the carriage ride etc., which should only be for major royals, rather than minor ones, such as his family.

A thought has just come to me, has the timing of this engagement been announced to try and take the heat off randy Andy? Do the palace really think that they are doing themselves any favours with the continued denials about his behaviour and friendship with Epstein. I think he, like the rest of the Royal Family think they are above the law!

If there has to be a Royal Family, it should be pared down so only those in direct line to the throne have any recognition and the rest can get “proper jobs.”

trisher Sat 28-Sept-19 14:50:57

Nothing to do with who you talk to but the deference, hero-worship and romantic idealism accorded one family who plainly do not merit it and whose track record is abysmal.

Anniebach Sat 28-Sept-19 13:35:30

In all walks of life there is adultery and affairs, only difference
they are no track records for all.the country wouldn’t talk about the butcher and his affairs, the dentist and his receptionist, the pub landlady and her many affairs,

trisher Sat 28-Sept-19 13:07:44

Did I say there weren't any? Really some people do draw unsubstantiated conclusions. I simply said the upper classes and the RF had track records of relationships with other people than the one they were married to. If that isn't true you can criticise.
But for the record no affairs or adultery for me.

Anniebach Sat 28-Sept-19 11:23:57

Really trisher ? So no affairs, adultery etc for you, just the
‘Upper and lower classes’ ?

Affairs and adultery are in walks of life, in my opinion.

trisher Sat 28-Sept-19 11:18:04

Oh Annie I'm disappointed I always see myself as a middle class champagne socialist grin

Anniebach Sat 28-Sept-19 10:52:55

trisher your choice to see yourself as ‘lower class’,
