Do they heck as like keep their heads down. They are rude, abusive and don't care about the facts at all. They plagiarise other people's work and don't acknowledge where they get their information from. They are some of the loudest voices on GN and I am not talking about Royalists.

The operative word was 'generally'. I agree with both GGM3's statements. The other Saturday, some of the leave supporters in London were singing 'we've got a lamp post with your name on it'. Nice people.

If you read the whole post, and have a modicum of intelligence, you will know that was tongue in cheek. It was said because so many leavers take offence first, read the statistics last and also assume, which you wouldn't if you have ever had to use statistics in a piece of academic work, that it means each and every one of them. But, true to form, WadesNan has taken it out of context and made those very assumptions. As I said, the post was tongue in cheek because so many leavers don't like the statistics that have been found overall for that group. I leave the readers of this thread to decide why WadesNan took umbrage.

Labaik they should have been arrested. Just to cheer you up I was talking to my well educated, leave voting friend who now thinks we may as well stay in. All she ever wanted was a proper system that told you who was coming into the country and who was leaving. As we could always have done this she doesn't think it's worth us being poorer in order to make the point.

Strange that when called out on posts so many claim it was "tongue in cheek" or "out of context". Anyone reading your previous posts GGK3 will see that you use insults quite a lot.

I don't think anyone has ever quoted one of my posts in that way previously so I have never had any need to comment. You had certainly quoted only one part of the post and, in this instance lost the context.

Whether you believe that I find it very amusing just how much the statistical analysis of the whole leave group sets us up for the standard screaming from leavers that "my friend has a doctorate in ..." and therefore indulged in a little leg-pulling bothers me not one jot. Why on earth would it?

This is why. It never was a "chat" thread. I appreciate your average Daily Mail reader/Leaver thinks that they have a right to expect everyone to agree with them but it's simply not true. Perhaps it would be worth not listening to people who lie to you.

Well, I'm a pretty offensive person NanKate; it's a good job I didn't write what I've been saying privately....you'd have been really offended then. However, could I just ask all you leavers a couple of questions. What was the EU law that most affected your life and made you want to vote leave. And how do you expect your life to improve if we do Brexit. It's a serious question and I would like to know. I'd also like to know how people reached that decision ie pamphlets/tv/newspapers etc.

GGMK - your asking if WadesNan has a modicum of intelligence did make me laugh - I know her and although she would never tell you herself she has a PhD in Applied Mathmatics which takes more than a modicum of intelligence!

Then perhaps she knows how to solve the Irish problem....

I honestly wasn’t going to bother replying to any of the stuff you have been posting but;

a. I genuinely put my OP in the Chat section because IMHO that is where it belongs, whatever you may think.

b. I never read the Daily Mail, I read the Telegraph, but if anyone wants to read the DM, go ahead, no problem.

c. I do many things, but rarely flounce. Judging by your comments, I think you must be a first rate flouncer.

d. I think the majority of GN’ers understood my post for what it was intended, LIGHT HEARTED. Was never intended to be contentious , but you’re entitled to think that if it makes you happy.
