Good morning all, I’m late to the party again ? after running DH and DD to doctors and both to work, good job I’m medically retired hey!
It’s overcast here in Chelmsford but not supposed to rain...maybe I’ll be able to get into the garden later?
Marydoll look after yourself with that cellulitis, I know how awful that can be. I’m sorry I missed what’s going on with Dragonfly and Gillybob but wish you both well too.
We lost a very dear friend suddenly on Friday and I’m finding it hard to come to terms with it so the weather today is matching my mood.
Hopefully see you all earlier tomorrow ?

Good morning all, sun has broken through the cloud here in Devon but there is a huge black cloud hanging around and it's windy. Off out shortly for a bit of shopping then probably houseworkhmm

Good Morning All x
What a miserable day outside, grey, damp and on the cool side. I've not long switched off the light----shades of what's to come sad

I didn't get to Asda yesterday, stayed put for a delivery, but I do need stocks replenishing so instead of my 1/4 of a mile walk I'll get a taxi there.

I hope the Gillybob's are okay and others who are awaiting apps. and/or procedures of any sort. Stay well and have a good day at home and abroad.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Not a bad start to the day in South Yorkshire. Garden for me today and then later we are having tea with GS and his mum and dad as we are childminding him this evening. I am told we are having a games night [night]! Grandad will be thrilled! Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s glorious sunshine. I might take myself off to the beach at lunchtime. The Mediterranean is sparkling in the sun with a sharp cobalt blue line against the horizon. It’s only a short walk to get there. A sunbed with parasol and my book is very tempting!

Off over the road at 9pm to meet with several friends to share pizzas and catch up on our news.

Poor you Maydoll I hope your industrial strength antibiotics work their magic. If you feel a little nauseous a couple of days in, nibble on ginger biscuits (good excuse) to settle your tum.

It is probably very early days dragonfly on your road to a full recovery but each day brings you a step nearer. Best wishes.

Hoping too that gillybob has some positive news to share.

Sorry for your loss NannyJan grief is the price we have to pay for loving someone. ?

Hope Wednesday is good to us and that Maw is enjoying her holiday. x

Good morning. Grey and windy here in North Yorkshire.
Marydoll and Dragonfly hope you will both be feeling much better soon. Nannyjan hugs for your mum and the family.
Off to Harrogate this morning for coffee with a friend then picking up my new car this afternoon. It’s all happened very quickly after an enquiry last week.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Auntieflo Wed 11-Sept-19 08:21:17

Good morning Michael, Annie to come and all others.
It's quite grey here in Berks.
Marydoll you have certainly been through the mill lately, so fingers crossed the cellulitis starts to respond to treatment.
Gillybob, was there good news yesterday for Mr G?
Our DS and DIL live in Tetbury NannyJan53. Lovely place, lots of antique shops!
To all those who have been/still are poorly, best wishes to you.
Have a good day one and all

Mythbirtthedragon Wed 11-Sept-19 07:55:32

Good morning from the New Forest, bit grey. Had a fantastic walk yesterday around Hengistbury Head, set us up nicely for our return to London today. I don’t want to think about what the house will look like. Have a good day.

Good morning from a damp Northampton, but the sky is brightening. Was going to do another Health Walk this afternoon, but DDIL has texted to ask if I can pick up younger DGD from school, as mum needs to do an errand in town. A bit of pottering this morning; perhaps I will eventually bring the Hoover downstairs and do the sitting room.

A good evening yesterday watching the Margaret Atwood interview live at the cinema. Was very impressed by her, and perhaps I will read her follow-up to 'The Handmaid's Tale '.

Hope you feel better soon Marydoll. Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning from a very blustery Shropshire.
I didn’t get to Cheshire Oaks yesterday as DD wants to come as well and couldn’t make yesterday but had the unexpected bonus of picking DGD up from school. Her little face was a picture when I walked in the classroom?
Hoping your medication takes effect quickly Marydoll and that you can have the angiogram asap. What a good job you got to the drs when you did.
Hoping Mr and Mrs gilly have had the news they wanted at the consultant visit yesterday and that Mr gilly has a date for his operation??

NanKate Wed 11-Sept-19 07:37:20

NannyJan ? and a virtual hug.

NanKate Wed 11-Sept-19 07:34:51

Morning Mick and All.

Poor you Mary you are so stoic and have managed to keep your wonderful sense of humour. I too am knocking back the steroids for my PMR but I suppose I should be grateful to have access to them.

Off to see an old friend today who I met when I first got married. Lots to talk about and photos to share.

Grey and calm in South Bucks.

harrigran Wed 11-Sept-19 07:34:06

Good morning from a grey NE, there was overnight rain.
Garage kept car yesterday, to do work required after service, but not a problem because the courtesy car is a decent size new estate car.
Went to the coast for fish and chip lunch yesterday, we are lucky to have one of the best chippies within travelling distance.
This afternoon we are going to see the designer, who has done plans for GD's bedroom, if GD likes what she sees we will go ahead with the work.

dragonfly46 Wed 11-Sept-19 07:32:45

Good morning from murky Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear about your cellulitis marydoll not what you need when you get back from holiday.

Feeling a little sorry for myself today as I think it is time I was completely better - after all it is over a week but can still only sleep on my back which is not very successful!

Hope * mr gilly* had good news yesterday.

NannyJan53 Wed 11-Sept-19 07:29:29

Good Morning from a very rainy Black Country.

Had a lovely day yesterday at Lacock Abbey and village. Also, paid a visit to Cirencester and Tetbury. The weather was lovely too!

Sad news. My Mums sister passed away in the night. Expected but still upsetting. I could see on Sunday. when I took Mum to visit her .she was near the end. So I am off to spend the day with Mum later.

Sorry to hear you have Cellulitis Marydoll it seems to be one thing after another for you lately. My best wishes to you flowers

Hoping gillybob has some good news today about her DH. Also, thinking of Dragonfly

Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Sept-19 07:14:02

Marydoll, sorry to hear you have cellulitis, it is a horrible thing to have. Hope the steroids clear up your chest.

Enjoy your "holiday buys" ??

GrannyGravy13 Wed 11-Sept-19 07:11:16

Good morning Mick and all x

Grey and breezy here in S E Essex, off for a manicure and pedicure first thing then straight to the gym for Callanetics.

Cleaners are here whilst I am out so I shall come back to a nice sparkly clean house.

Wishing you all a good day.

Marydoll Wed 11-Sept-19 07:10:27

Good morning Mick and all from a miserable Glasgow, just matches my mood!

My mystery rash is cellulitis and it is quite a bad case, caused by a rare side effect of my medication, (again!)
GP said it was fortunate that I didn't leave it any later to come, or I would have been in a right old pickle.
So yet another course of antibiotics etc, etc.
He also gave me steroids for my chest. DH too is coughing and spluttering for Scotland, but of course he has "double pneumonia!" grin.

All this I can cope with in my usual stoic manner, however, the cardiologist has cancelled my angiogram on Friday, as it is too risky, due to the fact I have an infection.
I'm very disappointed, as I was finally hoping for a diagnosis
for my elusive heart condition.
The only bonus is that I no longer need to remove the nail polish from my toe nails, as I was wondering how I was actually going to get down there to do it! ?

I'm off to get more bloods done, but I may have to go shoeless and trouserless, as I can't get a shoe or trainer on and my skinny jeans won't fit over my legs! grin

I haven't even emptied my case yet , (unusual for me), but I'm looking forward to checking out all my market bargains, (lots of €5 linen tops, a bite late for this year) , which I don't actually need, nor have room for. blush

I have been thinking of Mr and Mrs Gillybob and Dragonfly, thank goodness for our GN friends. I hope we hear some better news from them.

Maw, I'm envious of you, I hope you are enjoying your holiday.

Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone.

Grammaretto Wed 11-Sept-19 06:36:13

Good morning Mick and all who follow. Today looks dry and breezy.
Hopefully a quieter day here after a very much too busy time.

It's our DS and DiL 15th wedding anniversary. Where does the time go!
I am pleased you are safely home Marydoll
I hope Dragonfly is feeling better.
Wishing everyone a happy day.

Beechnut Wed 11-Sept-19 06:34:47

Good Morning everyone.

It looks dull and breezy outside today.
Straight after breakfast it’s MOT time for the car then back home for a homework day.

Have a good day all whatever you do ?
