What is your favourite healthy vegetarian meal?
My "get up and go" has got up and gone!
Good Morning Everyone,
The weather is getting more autumnal with daylight hours shortening here in Brackley.
Usual Saturday out to Buckingham and Bicester with maybe another map at Buckingham Flea Market.
Yesterday was different I went on Facebook , seeing a friend request , I responded to it, it was someone I had seen since the mid 70`s when in the RAF in Germany .
Mick
Good morning from east London where it’s dull and blowy. Very chuffed, I sorted daughter’s sofa yesterday then DP queried if I’d got it ‘the right way round’ as it’s a corner one. Slight panic but sorted now. (I’ll get my coat and go to the ‘other chat’ about that). Had a last minute invite to pop over and see a friend and spent a pleasant couple of hours in a bistro in Enfield; indulged in a glass of still cider which was a change but didn’t make DP’s driving any better. This evening we’re going to the Walthamstow Music Festival, an informal party organised by a choir friend where people are invited to ‘do their thing’, anything to do with music. I really enjoyed it last year, saw lots of people I hadn’t seen in years and did lots of singing. DP doesn’t sing but is reassured as there’ll be plenty of food and drink. Before that, we will be cleaning, only 2 weeks more of builders. Have a good day.
Eh tha’ gets abaht Maw!
?
Have a great Saturday!
Auntieflo I love your sense of humour! A giant champagne lollipop indeed.
??
Good morning all.
Mick through Facebook I recently renewed a friendship, we last saw each other 60 years ago after growing up together and going through school together.
She went on to university and then went to live abroad for many years.
Now both 82 we met up 3 weekends ago , we stayed in a Premier Inn and had a lovely and very happy reunion.
I don’t know if we will meet again as ill health and logistics may beat us but we will keep up phone contact.
I hope your contact is as successful.
Better late than never MawB
Good Morning All x
Weather a bit of a mix at the moment but I must get some washing done. Forecast isn't showing rain so I'll take a chance.
That lovely blue sky above Marydoll is what I miss, it looks great there.A brilliant holiday for you.
Urmstongran a lovely snap and fabulous memories of 45 years, Congratulations and enjoy. I know you will !
Harrigran, pleased that all's well with the scan, have you tried oil of peppermint with a drop of boiled water for your tum ?
Hope Gillybob can have a calm weekend without too much sleeplessness all round, not long until H's op now to bring relief as he must feel awful with his pain as well as causing disturbances.
I can't keep up !
Anyway, I hope everyone's day goes well, along with Mick's new-found friend.
Bonjour de l'Eurostar destination Calais-Lille-Bruxelles!
Un peu en retard mais awaiting cafe and croissants!
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Hope everyone has a good day x
Hosing? HOUSING.
Morning Michael, Annie to come and all others.
It is dry and bright here, no rain, yet!
Usual morning coffee with friends later, then an MRI scan for me at the local hospital. They keep sending text messages, reminding me, and saying something about my appointment letter. Which letter? I have not received one. The appointment was made by them phoning me!
Lovely photos Urmstongran, and Marydoll. And good news for Harrigran.
Kitty, did you have a giant champagne lollipop? Hope you get your freezer sorted.
Beechnut, after the scathing reports on new hosing recently, I expect that is why older houses are being preferred.
Gillybob, I do hope that Mr G, has a more comfortable couple of days until his hospital appointment, and that you survive the weekend.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning from the NE coast where it is now quite bright with promises of sunshine later, although you can feel the autumnal nip in the air now.
It’s nice to see good news on the Good Morning thread this morning....congratulations on you wedding anniversary Urmstongran how pretty you look with your lovely dad. Thank you for sharing your special day and I hope you have a lovely meal tonight .
What a brilliant time you seem to be having in Rome Marydoll . It must be very interesting to see the archaeologists at work especially with your love of all things Roman . I bet the shops and boutiques in Rome are to die for but I would imagine the prices are a bit steep too.
I am so glad that your scan results were negative harri that must come as a massive relief to you. Enjoy your dinner with your DGD tonight .
Well I have little Evie overnight tonight, I would normally have her travel cot in our room but I will probably have to move into the children’s room with her as DH is very restless during the night. I will have her all day tomorrow as it is Great North Run day which means we cannot get out. Tens of thousands of visitors will descend and most of the roads are closed. I will have to do some shopping today as impossible to do anything tomorrow.
My DGD2 (11) and DGS (9) are running in the Junior GNR today I was hoping to go and watch them but it’s looking unlikely now
They are super sporty children so I’m sure they’ll come in with brilliant times.
Anyway enough of my ramblings. Thank you for your good wishes Susan56 roll on Tuesday when he sees the consultant.
Have a great Saturday everyone whether you have plans or not , I can’t believe I am almost wishing my precious weekend away. x
Kitty. I have frozen bottles of alcohol in my fridge before now.
Good Morning All
Cloudy out here in Cheshire. It looks as if we could get any weather here.
We had another heavy downpour yesterday. Stair rods of rain.
I am off to get my hair cut with Abbie later. I just hope it does not rain as it did yesterday. We are down to one car at the moment. Mine is very poorly. Waiting to get to the garage it is clanging and growling. I am taking it to the garage on Wednesday on my way to get my cateract done.
Drop off my car and continue in hubbys to the hospital. Trouble is hubby is unpredictable and a dreadful time keeper.
Good Morning everyone from Leicestershire - the sun is trying to poke through.

No change is always good to hear Harrigran be good if they could treat your pain though.

Good Morning from a lovely bright but cool Fife. Washing on, first for a few days as we were unable to walk on our newly laid patio. Good news harrigran you will be pleased and Urmstongran - Congratulations, lovely photo of you. Sounds you are having fun Marydoll. Shame about your champagne Kitty. Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton, but it's supposed to brighten up later. Feeling a bit down this morning, so must pull myself together a bit. Though was cheered this week by the arrival of my new season ticket for Northampton Saints rugby! Off to a friendly match next Thursday evening against Irish team Leinster.
Lovely pictures, Marydoll, looks a lovely holiday!
Happy anniversary, Urmstongran!
Nothing much planned for the weekend except a trip into town this afternoon as I need a few things off the market, so will also have a mooch around the few remaining shops.
Morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
First job today is trying to find out what is going on with the outside fridge freezer. The freezer door was frozen shut and when I opened the fridge door I discovered that a bottle of champagne (real not prosecco
) had frozen solid and burst the bottle!
Enjoy your days everyone, whatever you are doing.
Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset, forecast is for a dry day which is excellent news as Mr C has an outside photography workshop to go to. I plan a wander round a local NT. There could well be a scone, jam and cream on the agenda. Pleased you’re enjoying it all marydoll, good news harrigran, many congratulations to you both urmstongran. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.
