MacSporran has taken the car into Campbeltown to be serviced. He'll return home on the bus at lunchtime. Catch the bus mid afternoon and collect said car. It's an all-go day.

Good morning all.
It is chilly and full here in Stockport.
I am off on a jolly for 3 nights and because it isn't something I do much I have been panicking with the result that I am now completely ready, small case packed, dressed but for shoes, a bit of make up on and the taxi isn't booked for an hour and a half!
I shall be thinking of you all whilst I am away.

corner I do spend more time thinking than actually doing it but I now have two very large tidy boxes of bedding and towels neatly stored. A lot of my wardrobe contents will be en route to the RSPCA later when I get my mental act together.

It is dull but dry here today. Not the warmest day.

Life sounds more than a bit stressful kitty. Having lived with tinnitus for many years I sympathise with mr lester. No idea what caused mine, certainly can’t blame a dentist drill. Any follow up from the TIA news? Try not to worry

Well, this kitchen is looking quite clean, tidy and organised - unlike mine.

Why, when I am preparing a pot roast chicken, does dh feel the need to start putting together his new bottle garden on the kitchen table? We have the contents of bags of gravel, carbon something and special soil - mostly in the bottle but not quite all! And, we haven't got to the plants yet!!

If I didnt need the leg of lamb for the arsenal, I'd use it on dh.

Lovely post, gd, it made me smile. I remember spiders in the outside loo. I think we all know the feeling of not being able to get out from under so it is nice to see you.

Has anyone seen charley, have I missed something?

Dh had the results of his mri yesterday. It was supposed to tell us why he has tinnitus but it told us that he has had a Tia at some time. Not quite what we were expecting! The tinnitus is apparently from sitting too near his drill. Shame his arms arent longer!

Hello the kitchen. I’m sorry I have been missing for a while but, as many of you will appreciate, sometimes stuff just weighs you down and it’s a struggle to get out from under. However, as we are so near a new kitchen I thought I had better show my face before you all move on!
So far today, the weather has been kind - junior football this morning and, for a change, we didn’t stand in the wet! I’m not optimistic it will last long though; I think we shall be joining the folks in Norfolk for a paddle soon enough! DH is fully occupied making sure the water butt doesn’t overflow (well, it keeps him off the streets!), and all the extra water he is pouring onto the lawn is making it feel a bit like Askham Bog - spongy!
We had a surprise visit yesterday from my cousin and his wife who are over from Ireland for a few days. We had a nice lunch and much ‘craic’. We grew up living a few doors away from each other. Lots of reminiscences about school and growing up and the time he blocked the door to our outside lavatory, with me inside it, so that I couldn’t get out! The spiders couldn’t get out either!! He swears he didn’t but it traumatised me for life (or so I have always taken great pains to tell him!?). His wife told me he is in seventh heaven when he meets up with me because I remember in minute detail all the stuff he would like to be able to recall but can’t! Oh yes, I can certainly do that; its remembering half of what happened this week that is my problem! Do I hear shouts of “tell me about it”??
For all kitchen friends who are struggling in any way at the moment, you are in thoughts; even the Tooth Fairy, whom young Jackson must surely have bankrupted by now!?

kitty It's to be one night and, dare I say, I am looking forward to it. Would you believe that I am wondering what to "pack"? I shall wear my best kilt and a smart top. Apart from which...I shall take far too many pairs of spare Sloggis. A girl cannot be too careful when it comes to knickers.

It persisting down here - there are streams running down each side of the lane. Lots of ironing and rubbish TV to entertain me!

Morning all from the middle of the river Wensum....well that's how it feels. The rain has been torrential since I woke up ( and maybe before) . Grampy has ventured out to his garage an hour ago to check for leaks and as he hasn't returned I suspect its bad !!

Sam will not venture out the back door at all and is willing to keep his little legs crossed until the rain at least eases off a little.

You honestly cannot see the road from the house almost the downpour is that heavy.

I , of course, the one with the common-sense- said 'sod the garage' that's what insurance is for. I'm sitting in the orangery, snuggled up under a blanket for cosiness and a decent cup of coffee enjoying the sound of the rain on the roof..... I shall be asleep before you can say......zzzzzzzz

Chicken I have checked and that last wobbly tooth is hanging on by a thread. We now have a family sweepstake going on a) when if falls out and b) if he swallows it lol
