Full of confidence (Ha!) that the move will take place this week, I am going to Suffolk tomorrow to put the cat into a new cattery. He will be there for two weeks, until we get back from our holiday. I am quite worried about the old chap as he is now deaf and a bit confused. He lives 5 miles from where he was born so two hours in the car tomorrow could be an ordeal. ( We have had poo in the cat box before, on the way back from the vet. It wasn’t helped when I braked hard and the box rolled over!) ?
I am not sure how he will cope with a new house either. I just hope familiar furniture and seeing us again will be enough.

I have spent the last few hours shredding documents! I have decided I no longer need to keep my DH business tax returns - I got as far as 2007 and gave up before I killed my second shredder!

Maw, that`s brave, going away on your own. Folk keep saying I should go away, but I can`t dredge up the courage to go alone, but am going to Llandudno next summer with my eldest son and his wife. Yours sounds really exciting, and different, though.

Soop, those feral felines won`t stay feral too ,long with you looking after them!

This afternoon in the kitchen, barefoot, I stepped in a wet patch that I hadn`t seen, both legs started to go in different directions, so in panic I grabbed the nearest thing to stop myself falling, but it was the cooker hob, which was lit, and HOT, so me poor old finger ends took a beating. They`ve just about settled and stopped stinging now. I`m a daft old mare, lol!

Hope you found some motivation sunseeker. I’m feeling very virtuous. I’ve tidied a shed which now seems to have a floor, who would have thought it?

Log off time. I've been doing my best to get into the arty farty mood. I haven't touched a paintbrush since February. I disposed of the first attempt because I knew that it was doomed to fail. Have persevered with the second attempt. So far, according to MacSporran, it shows "promise". A little hope goes a very long way.

I am hoping to acquire some straw. Why? I wish to line sturdy cardboard boxes with it, so that each of the feral felines has a comfortable bed inside that horrible big barn.
They have been on my mind all day. Was asked not to leave food for today. There remains one young cat still to be trapped for a visit to the vet.

Thank you all for your best wishes. I have to say I am feeling a tad nervous. My bag is packed and I now just want to get it over with.

My DD and SiL arrived yesterday. They are both working from home for the week. My DD realised she had left her laptop behind so SiL drove from Leicestershire to Kent and back this morning to retrieve it! That’s love for you.

Panache Your two tier trolley and majestic iced cake sound perfect. If I could, I would enjoy accompanying you as you stroll around the marina. Best bit, though, I love browsing in craft shops. There's always something that begs to be bought for the home. I should know. I've rather a lot of craft shop clutter to prove the point.

My word this kitchen is certainly in fast forward mood,and what is more gaining new "customers" to boot....... as it rolls along .........a warm welcome to our newcomers indeed.

I am sure you must be tearing your hair out Nannytopsy with this non start of your house move,a real buggeration indeed.Just hoping that you recieve the news that it is all systems go very soon.

Whilst I am blessed hearing mention of two of our kitchen friends visiting west Wales, just hope the sun shone and you enjoyed your visit, taking home pleasant memories

Our friends have just left after bringing with them 2 lovely surprises ,a beautiful two tier trolley which they knew we were looking out for, and sat on the top tier was quite a majestic iced sponge ..............fit enough to make us drool.........even though, sadly, not something I can partake of...........but I know of someone who can!!!!

We intend having a little stroll about our Marina this sunny afternoon, time we allowed ourselves some leisurely activities and today`s the day.There is a little Craft shop there and I feel sure it will provide us with some thing to grace our flat!!

Actually I am getting just a little excited about my forthcoming Eurostar holiday in the Harz Mountains in Germany.
The last proper hol Paw and I had was a week in Ludlow 7 years ago and a long weekend with DD, SIL and the two little boys in a lovely lodge in Blackwood Forest, but going away on my own? Oo-Er! Spending what seems like a fortune on small sizes of toiletries, but that is part of the fun.
Also downloading lots of books on the iPad in case everyone else is a steam train geek I feel like retreating to my room in the evenings (?)

sunseeker we certainly would not use that expression- not that I understand what it means. We are all laydees here.

A Sunday to me is a normal day so the washing machine is on. I have to take advantage of this decent weather.

I almost fell off my chair when I saw how busy the kitchen has been since I last looked in. What with lemongrove lifting our cake and wandering away with a "butter wouldn't melt..." expression plastered all over her face and other stuff to catch up with, I feel all faint and in need of nourishment.

Baggs bakes amazing high-calorie, addictive oaty biscuits and choc cookies. I have had to hide them from myself.

Maw You, my dear, are in need of some serious tender loving care. Stay awhile and we'll help you to relax and recover.

I am new to the kitchen so can someone explain what TOYA means?

I got up with great plans to sort some clutter today, first I had a phone call from my brother (why do we always insult each other - jokingly - I think) and now I am on my 3rd cup of coffee. Please someone give me a kick up the whatsit to get me moving!
