It is indeed maw, after I put a photo of it on Facebook an old friend contacted me to say his dad was sent there for commando training in 2nd world war. Dropped at Fort William in small groups, their 1st challenge was to walk to the camp, those who didn’t make the tight time deadline automatically lost their place on the training course!
Those little ones are gorgeous mamissimo but that transition from 1 to 2 is a big one no wonder your dd is tired! Hope the medics can agree and sort you out asap. GrannyGravy that wee one’s face is a picture! Doodle my old boy would sympathise, he is mostly very patient, except for when he’s not! I can understand your worries for your lovely boy, it’s so hard if the other children just don’t “get” them and it can make school such a lonely place. Glad your artistic talent hasn’t deserted you soop, we all knew it wouldn’t! Hope you’re resting dragonfly and getting stronger day by day
It’s been a mainly dry day here, so out and about in Skye once again. Those of you appreciated my photos only have yourselves to blame.... ‘cos now there will be a few more! Will put 3 on now and some more in a moment as my phone is dying!
Wishing you all a good nights rest and as always toya. xx

We have just got home from a couple of days staying with our younger daughter in Stafford.Today we took Barnaby to CBeebies land.To say we are exhausted is an understatement!
Love the pictures grannygravy, our granddaughter has a Shetland pony and she too loves to ride.I think being around animals is so lovely for youngsters, learning to care for and love them.

Lovely baby smile mamissimo. The beautiful innocence of a baby’s face.
Lovely photos as usual grannyqueenie. My DH is a keen photographer. I have spent many holidays admiring the view to the soundtrack of click, click, click, click ..........?
Hope all the children get on in school. My DGS goes back next week just praying this year would be a better one for him.
ann so pleased you had a good time. Your family must really treasure time with you ?
Those photos are just lovely. Good luck to your DD, The children are very young so must be a handful but they look so content. Mim is really growing- it is no time since she was Esme's age.
Aah beautiful Mamissimo ?
Luckily it’s not there all the time! How I would like an edit button ?
Hello to the kitchen ? I’m still reading everything and lurking around in the undergrowth and I’m so pleased that Dragonfly has had her op!
I’m undergoing investigations for possible gall stones...or kidney gravel....or gastritis - just wish they’d make their minds up! Luckily it’s. To there all the time so life goes on ok!
I know many of you love a cwtch with a small person and I thought you would like to see the gorgeous Esme’s first smile today.....and Mim’s ‘cheese’ face. My DD is finding it hard work but these two seem happy.

GrannyGravy Awww! Delightful photographs. Thank you for sharing.
I have packed Susan's portrait of Harry. It will be posted tomorrow. I'm about to paint a grey cat who is known as Smokey
Log-off time. Care home visit in the morning. I shall look forward to joining you all again tomorrow afternoon.

Is that the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge grannyqueenie ?
Snap soop. I blamed over zealous use by the chief operative
.
grannyqueenie Carried by a unanimous vote...you, my dear, are our top-rated photographer. Just sayin.'
dragonfly Are you getting plenty of rest? Is the drain behaving? Is the wound healing nicely?
Ann Delighted to hear that you had a very pleasant evening out with good company.
Susan56 Darling wee lassie. Portrait will be posted tomorrow. Do hope that it pleases you.
corner I have never heard of a vacuum cleaner fire. Well done Mr C for his heroic intervention.
We visited the feral feline barn earlier today. There is a banquet awaiting the recovering pussy cats.
dragonfly I hope the wound is behaving and you do not have the problems soop encountered. Feet up today and please enjoy the rest.
Lovely pictures Granniequeenie
I was informed my sliding wardrobe doors would arrive between 7-8am today and they actually did, 7.15am so it was worthwhile crawling out of bed so early at 6am. II had to sign for them using my finger and he was amazed I knew what to do! I could not be bothered telling him I have a vague idea what a computer looks like.
I do hope it is repairable corner because as you know they are not cheap. Like me, you have a spare.
ann it works both ways- you have been very good to your GD, she knows and appreciates it. Age does not matter when you get on so well.
The photos are beautiful, thank you.

And some Skye ones...that’s if I can get them to go this time!
Mr C was officer in charge of the vacuum, he does a far better job that I do - or that’s my excuse. It also allows me to blame the operator for problems
.
It’s one of those beginning with D so a service engineer is arriving on Friday to check it over charley, he will replace the offending part and do an electrical safety test so we may get away with a relatively small cost. If it’s condemned then yes, a search for a replacement. We’ve got a cordless stick vacuum that Mr C will wield in the meantime.
I’m delighted you had a good evening ann, Wonderful images grannyq, fingers crossed for kind weather for you.
Had a long, distressed call from our god daughter about her Mum. It’s playing on my mind. I’ve done some research for her and will call back in the morning, nothing to be done now so I will shortly be trying to turn my head off. Have to find it first
Goodnight everyone.
Sorry there they are. And wonderful as usual.
No photos!!
Something I always look forward to from you grannyqueenie you are the official photographer for GN.
Except I forgot to add them!
Lots going on in this busy kitchen, no change there then. Glad to hear there’s no immediate panic about your lovely man soop, all you can do is believe him when he tells you that.
Love those photos of the little ones all ready for school, all that potential in their little lives. Two granddaughters started high school yesterday, one has a journey involving 2 buses much to everyone’s relief she got there and back safely and on time... it was not so on the practice run! The other is so tiny that the smallest size skirt from the uniform shop drowned her and when I saw the photo of her in uniform the tie seemed to reach past her waist!
Ann that these young people are so happy to include you is a sure sign that you remain young at heart in your attitudes. Glad you had a good evening, just what you deserve!
Corner that’s the kind of excitement you didn’t need today, thanks goodness Mr C was on the ball and quick to act. Good to hear positive news from you dragonfly, it’s been a long wait for you and now it’s finally done you can get on with the business of recovery.
Well we have meandered our way north and are now on the Isle of Skye where sadly the weather is tending towards wet and windy. Hey ho you win some you lose some, and the West of Scotland climate is always a bit of a lottery whatever time of year it is. The good news is there’s not a midgie in sight which for the person who always gets bitten is a big plus! We’ve mostly managed to dodge the rain when out and about. The weather has lurched between grey skies, showers that were sometimes heavy, glimpses of blue sky and fierce winds! The result is that we’ve done far too little walking and much too much eating... groan! We’re here till Saturday so hopefully will have another good couple of days to come but if all else fails we’re in very cosy accommodation and could bunker down here if need be. We last visited very nearly 50 years ago so it’s quite a nostalgic trip!
True to form and at the risk of boring you all, I’ll leave a photo or several. Thinking of you all x
So pleased you had a lovely time ann.
Susan your little dot looks a little like my DGD. So gorgeous they all are at that age.
A restful day today. Routine visit back to hospital tomorrow to check the wound.
Hope Macsporran’s bloods aren’t being too naughty!
