Good morning from the NE coast where we have a fairly bright start.

I took the older girls (13 and 11) to a ceramic painting workshop yesterday afternoon and we had the best fun. I have never known them to sit so quietly and concentrate so hard on what they were doing. Anyway here is a photo of our efforts . The castle is eldest DGD, the owl trinket box is DGD2 and the blooo giraffe is mine !

Anyway they went home last night and DH had another hour of fence painting (still not finished) and then watched half an hours cr*p TV , completely exhausted.

I’ve had a bit of a bad chest for a few days and thought it was getting better but I can hardly speak this morning and it feels very sore. I hope I don’t have to see the GP.

To all those on holiday, I hope you continue to have a lovely time and to those preparing for holidays I bet you’re counting the minutes. I know I would be.

I’m off to “that place” aka “hell on earth” in just over half an hour, might get another hour of fence painting done this evening after I have taken my dad for some shopping straight from work (I missed yesterday again....naughty Gilly)

Have a good Wednesday everyone x

Morning all from a fairly bright North Leicestershire.

Pootling and faffing this morning and then dh has a hospital check up this afternoon. Ds1 here for food this evening - possibly Turkish takeaway - as their team is on tv.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is up in South Yorkshire. GS will be dropped off by his dad shortly for his last day this week. We need only have him for a half day, but won’t be in any hurry to let him go?! It will be a lazy day today though; enough activity yesterday to last all week! Have a good day folks!

Well here I am back in my other nest, wishing you all a great morning.

Urmstongran is right when she comments on enjoying the contrast between UK and Spain - it seems so laid back and ‘manana’ here and I’m pretty chilled in Wales!

Glad you get to go on your holiday Marydoll and hope everyone else also gets to do whatever is planned or plain old ‘nada’!

Morning all.
Sun is shining in Kent, it's a bit fresh so far though.
Taking the DGSx2 uniform shopping today which will include pair of leather shoes. Nannie's card will take a hit today, especially with lunch added in.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Mick and all. Light cloud here on Welsh side of Bristol Channel coast.
We had a busy day yesterday, cleaned the fridge, DH mowed the lawns, then we went to his parents to sort some clothes and took them to the charity shop. Still so much to do there but at least we have made a start.
Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a fairly bright NE.
I was awake early because I went to bed early, am I the only one who finds summer TV dreary and full of repeats ?
Waited in all day for parcel delivery and it came at 18.10 and then he didn't ask for a signature.
GD sent photograph of her visit to the Globe theatre, I will be interested to hear her impressions of London. Her mum and dad went to university and lived in London for ten years before coming north to marry and have children.

Good Morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

Had a lovely day yesterday, ice-skating with DGD and her sister and 3 friends, and DD and SIL of course. It was DGD's 11th birthday yesterday. So of course we had to have a McDonalds lunch afterwards! I rarely go ice-skating but after about 20 minutes it all comes back.

4pm had to collect Mum from Hospital after she had a cataract operation. She seems fine, and I will ring her shortly.

It seems that the weather is slowly warming up. We are going going to Devon on Saturday morning until Tuesday, staying in a 'posh' beach hut. So looking forward to that.

Had a call off the Estate Agent who manage the flat I let out. It needs a new boiler eeeek!

I am sure you are getting excited about your holiday Marydoll it will be just the tonic you need flowers

Today I am catching up on jobs around the house!

Wishing you all a lovely day.

Good Morning from brightish Fife quite cool too. Routine different today as we normally have our DGS's however DGS1 starts nursery today so we have only DGS2 who is just 10 months and thinks he can wall but can't wink so needless to say he is into everything. Hope my little boy gets on fine with his new venture today at nursery. Hope everyone has a good day - half way through our week already.

Good Morning All.
I don't like this getting up in the morning .Everything creaks and twinges. Getting older is miserable.
I will get more mobile soon.

Good morning everyone, cloudy here this morning but sun forecast for later. Last day for daughter and grandchildren today, think we’re off to Babbacombe later for lunch on the beach.
Have had an exhausting but lovely 2 weeks with them all.

Grammaretto Wed 21-Aug-19 06:58:19

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's dry and birds are singing.
I want a lazy day after the long Tuesday. We didn't eat our duck egg tortilla until 9pm.
I hope DH is making us a cuppa before he goes out.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Wed 21-Aug-19 06:48:16

As usual, I'm the first to post after Mick, then take so long!
Good morning, fellow early risers.

Good morning Mick and all to follow.
A slight smir of rain here in Glasgow, but set to improve later.
The washing is already on the line, (curtesy of golfing DH).

I'm pretty exhausted today, I overdid it yesterday and we had a busy house, with DGD, my sister in law, my DIL, then my DD and her fiance.
I eventually had to throw them out, as we were going out last night! Such a hospitable hostess. grin

I'm off out early to pick up a parcel and our holiday Euros, it seems more real now.
Whatever you have doing, enjoy your day. For thoses with medical appointments, hoping all goes well.

Good Morning Mick and * NanKate* and all who follow.
Cloudy with bright patches here on Severnside.
I have a free day so I think I’ll go out and browse some shops in the next town and do some gardening this afternoon.

I hope you all enjoy the warm weather and day ?
