I remember when my children were small there was a saying "they won't remember if you ironed their pyjamas but they will remember if you read them a story".

Life’s too short to be bored, to be unhappy or to tolerate anything or anyone who does not enhance your life .....

.......to iron. Hate ironing.
........to hoover daily. Hate hoovering
.........to mop floors. Hate mopping
..........to get dressed in the morning. I can easily stay in my pjs all day
...........to wear a bra in the house

Caring what the neighbours think and doing perfect "flicked eyeliner'

The best thing to do with blackberries is a crumble. You can buy crumble mix from any supermarket so don't have to do that horrible gucky rubbing fat into flour thing.

I really must get off here and go and steam clean the kitchen floor

Making Bramble Jelly has become much easier since buying a jelly bag and stand from Lakeland! It is my family's favourite jam and we love picking blackberries so this is a relief. For me life is too short to worry about things I can't change. Doesn't stop me though.

Worrying is pointless, says me after being a worrier for years lol

I'm trying to make that my new resolution, having struggled through several books then thought I wish I hadn't bothered. I've just deleted several from my Kindle, including Wolf Hall (started, disliked the style of writing) and feel much better now.

I agree worrying is a total waste of time! If only my head was more amenable to reason!!

I usually get several pots; it's a good way of using up last year's blackberries still lurking in the freezer.
