Washing duvet covers that swallow everything else!

Odd isn't it.

My new washing machine does this even though I close the flaps I think it is because it is an integrated model and appears to have a shallow drum. My old NEFF did not do this, I find it very irritating, in fact I find all the programming on it very annoying it feels as though there is a robot inside taking charge.

Moan over!

Always partly do up my duvet covers because I got fed up with retrieving everything from inside!

I am tempted to put everything into the duvet cover to see if it spits them out ;)

Just do up the middle button / fastening.

Oh, you've just made me realise that I've put my duvet cover in the wash today unbuttoned!

I just shake the duvet over the laundry basket and it all falls out, why is it a problem?

Wash the duvet cover on its own. To be honest, unless you have a large machine, it won't get properly washed if it's in with a large load AND it should be on a hot wash.

If you keep a ribbon handy and tie it round the open end of the duvet, nothing can get in. Saves all the faff of doing up buttons.

I wash the bedding together but even so the bottom sheet and pillowcases find their way into the duvet cover if I do not button the cover.

ah well- not the end of the world lol. But I have not used a drier for many months ...

Mine are king size and go in on their own hot wash, king size sheet and four pillow slips on another hot wash solves that particular problem.

Mine balls up and causes the machine to walk across the room!
