I'm slumped here with a nice glass of Rosé catching up on recorded TV programmes. I've got quite a good book to read after I've finished that. If I finish it...

DH is running me a bath, I'm too tired to go and turn the taps off.
I'm indifferent to the fact that it might flood the bathroom if I don't move now. ?

It's been OK.

My French helper arrived and together we got Brownie points for mowing the grass for an even more tired old lady than me.

A woman came and collected a chest of drawers I was giving away, part of decluttering. She is going to upcycle it apparently. She showed me lots of pictures of furniture she has already done. I was impressed.

It is very warm and we are about to have a very simple meal mainly from our garden veg.

I'm tired but content this evening thinking about our visit to Shropshire early today with our little grandsons to see real mammoth (bones).

It was a complete surprise to both boys.

Little DGS (4 yr old) who is a massive mammoth fan was so excited when he walked round the corner and came face to face with the mammoth said 'Gran my body is shaking..

Thank you Gonegirl I’m really rather happy with it . Just plain and functional, nothing fancy. A bit like me .

a pretty nondescript day, took grandson out earlier, spent money as per usual, made tea, washed up, he's upstairs on the Xbox, just browsing the 'net

What a perfect thread. I am just sitting here after a busy afternoon. I am not in a moaning mood. Nor am I in a happy mood. I am not sad. I am just me. Me, myself and I. TV. Dog is asleep and husband is dozing. I am just being me.

What ironing ? I just put it all away and iron it when I want it .

Have shamed DH into fitting the new toilet seat ! Hurrah. I’m staying out of the way. Will send my old one to BlueBelle (see the moaning thread )
