I know I am getting really old when.......

I agree with blondenana. I don't feel old, only old-ish. My son is 51 (we were married for 8 years before we had him), eldest granddaughter 21. I know people look at me and consider me to be old because I too get offered a seat on the tube/bus etc. Our son works in the Far East sometimes and they have a lovely way of putting it. "Respected Elders."

Likewise Katy K ! My son is law turned 50 recently... my daughter is 50 next year. Plus the Grandchildren are now 6 feet 4 and 6 feet 2... and kiss the top of my head !

But I still jump in puddles !!

I don't feel my age either, but my eldest is 58, and oldest grandson is 35 ,it is the only thing that reminds me i am old --ish

My 90 year old aunt told me I would feel really old when my daughte was 60!

I’ve bought gold sandals for a River cruise.

I went to my uncle's funeral and his granddaughters were looking at his photo albums., They were asking me who people in the photos were. I suddenly realised that I was the 'senior generation' of that branch of my family and was expected to know everything!

When I spend the day out as recently, in London - an early start & a long day - and then have to 'recover' for the next few days, unable to commit to anything more taxing than a long lie down & a good book

When I think about going somewhere and the first thing I need to know is 'how close can I park'

I look at the fashions - mini-skirts, flared trousers, flicked up eyeliner and think that I wore them once - but never again as I don't want to repeat myself.

I start to panic if I don't think I will get my afternoon nap.

When I prefer to go to bed with a good book rather than a night on the town!

I know I am getting old when my granddaughter asks me what did I used to do in the olden days!

When I hear the Pelican crossing beeping from some distance away, I no longer run to cross, but hang back and wait for the next light change.

When I realised that if my GKs ran off, I wouldn't be able to catch them.

When my eldest D will turn 60 in a year and a half ! Her husband is 60 towards the end of the year. They were only "kids" when they married.

A " pensioner " daughter. Unbelievable.
