Spiders do not live in my house so I do not have a problem. I would/could not kill it- I would show it the door exit.

morethan everybody else has expressed my thoughts- it is so difficult for you, trying to keep strong for yourself, S, DIL. and especially the children. flowers

dragonfly In my humble opinion, Sciatica is one of the worst pains one can endure.

soop Sun 25-Aug-19 13:56:10

granniequeenie Fabulous photos. Today, our garden is a like a portrait of light and shade. There is barely a ripple on the sea.

N&G happy crafting and thank you for the welcome cupcake.

Carillion01 Can you see my grin? I'm in heaven just imagining the blackberry and apple pie with cream and a slurp of sloe gin.

Ann When folk get upset because they disagree with your comment on whatever...forget it! It's simply not worth worrying about. As you so rightly say, there are far more important matters that take precedence. flowers

callgirl1 You know that eight-legged monster that you are terrified of? It appeared in my dream last night. It was on the skirting board in the bedroom. In my dream, I gently removed it and wished it a safe journey in the great outdoors. wink

I had a serious senior moment when I logged off yesterday. I mentioned that MacSporran would be 80 in a few weeks time. blush Not so. He will be a cooel 79.

cornergran Sun 25-Aug-19 13:34:17

To say I'm sorry and sad for you all seems so inadequate morethan when thinking about the heartache you are experiencing. I have no idea how we get through the unthinkable but we do, somehow the strength is there when we need it. Your daughter in law is an inspiration as are you. Sending love to you all..

Doodle Sun 25-Aug-19 12:57:09

As usual maw has the words I can’t find. morethan your family have been in my prayers for a long time. I will continue to pray for you all and hope that your DILs wish to see her daughter into school be granted. ?

Dear soop, haven't been able to post for a few days, until this morning but wanted to catch up and say that the photos of you and MacS are lovely. You are gorgeous and I love the colours of your beautiful scarf from baggs the heather colours are the best. Xx
Love to all other kitcheners needing some love and care just now. TOYA and leaving some blackberry pie and cream on the side this afternoon with a 'tiddle' of sloe gin xxx

Carillion01 Sun 25-Aug-19 12:29:50

Dear Morethan, I can only send my love, care and prayers but I send them fully and will do so every day.

I find a great comfort in prayer but do not understand what the grand plan is sometimes.

The courage of you, your family and your dear Dil is so very moving, no words Xxxxxx

soop Sun 25-Aug-19 12:19:31

Such heart breaking times for you as a family watching, waiting, hoping for that miracle Morethan and I truly feel for your deep inner pain that can find no peace.
Words fail to say our inner feelings but please rest assured we are with you, and indeed the whole family on this extremly difficult journey.
How we hope your DiL may be granted those wishes she holds dear, she is asking for so little and is being so unselfish.
Life has its cruel moments for sure.

Thinking of you all and again sending blessings galore.

Susan56 Sun 25-Aug-19 10:06:29

grannyqueenie Sun 25-Aug-19 09:32:27

morethan what a courageous young woman your dil is, but such sadness for you all to bear. Thinking of you. X

kittylester Sun 25-Aug-19 09:25:56

No words at all morethan. Just hugs and supportive thoughts! Use the Kitchen to offload when you need to. brew

I HATE spiders but not as much as DD2 who one rang us on holiday in Scotland to say there was a spider on the landing and she couldn't get out of her bedroom to go to work.

Eventually, DSil came, collected the spider and deposited it at the other side of the village!

Nannytopsy Sun 25-Aug-19 09:23:53

Nana our spiders have 8 legs!

dragonfly46 Sun 25-Aug-19 09:22:51

Nannytopsy I too have wondered about the width of Monshulu shoes as I too have fat feet.

dragonfly46 Sun 25-Aug-19 09:20:57

Lovely words Maw. We are all so sorry for what you and your family are going through Morethan.

Bellanonna Sun 25-Aug-19 09:15:09

Sending you hugs morethan

NanaandGrampy Sun 25-Aug-19 09:14:40

Morning all,

Morethan my heart breaks for you and your family and your brave DiL . I don't know how you'll make it through but you will , the human spirit is the strongest thing in the world as shown by your poor DiL . Sending you a huge hug xx

Lovely pictures GrannieQ , I think if you can stay away from tourist hotspots Bank Holidays are fine , but the glorious weather couldn't tempt us out of the garden !!

MacS looks like master of all he surveys Soop , lovely picture.

I am with you callgirl , say what you like but I will not be gently picking up any 4 legged friend and relocating. I read once that wherever you are in the world you are never more than 6ft from a spider so quite frankly there are plenty to go around lol

You are braver than me quite frankly as I could not let it hide under the sofa. Once when our youngest daughter was about 4 , a giant spider crept behind the sofa. Grampy was at work , so I did no more than arm the little tot with Grampys slipper and send her behind the sofa to do battle !!!!

oh the shame :-(

Its a crafty sort of day here and not much else , so sending much love to those who need it and a very nice slice of cream, and strawberries sponge to those who don't !! :-)

I posted last evening about a neighbour mowing his lawn with a very noisy petrol lawn mower and asking if I was unreasonable to be miffed.
I got some very caustic answers which quite frankly upset and annoyed me.
Morethan's post has put all that into perspective and I will try to not sweat the small things.
