Carillion I will try freezing them in pieces next time I do it - I’ve never used frozen banana in a smoothie.
The recipe is a Be-Ro one that I’ve been making for years, but where it calls for a pound of banana, I usually make that about twelve ounces. I think a pound is too much. If you have a fan oven, set it to 160 and test it after an hour. It keeps very well if you are the sort that manages to hang on to cake!?

The weather has gone crazy. Torrential rain, followed by bursts of warm sunshine. We were out walking and got soaked. Warm rain. Perhaps it will help me to grow a couple of inches. 
Carillion01 If I lived close by, I would so enjoy a visit to the textile fete. You are lucky.

I am over-heated. The ironing pile wasn't that vast. It just seemed mountainous. Is it still muggy? Or, am I having belated hot flushes.
On the matter of having mesh removed (not that I could endure such a thing) the group that I belong to informs me that the surgery may need to be carried out in two parts. Hundreds are going through the process. One lady has undergone the surgery privately. £9.000 per op. 
Away to prepare a healthy fresh fruit and yogurt based pud for MacSporran. We are looking forward to a quiet evening at home. I may even be persuaded to change into my pyjamas. Cool and casual is the order of the day.

Gorgeous day from dawn to dusk yesterday. A jolly, chatty evening spent with friends. I ate far too many spicy dishes. Awake in the early hours with heartburn. Silly mare!
Today's journey to Campbeltown was a bit iffy. Part of the road was flooded. Water cascading down the hillsides. Better now, much calmer and no rain to speak of.

Seriously shattered today, read a novel in the night instead if sleeping. Decent book but boy am I tired.
Windy here too n&g. There are huge trees between us and the river behind our garden, I’m certain one of them has branches being blown to the footpath. Bit scary really.
Still we plan to venture out, not far but I need a stretch, so I feel a walk around a couple of shops coming on. Well, where else in this weather?
Loved the photos greyd and grannyq, we’ve a National Trust close-ish by with deer, feel a trip there coming on. Our girls out walked us this week, hurtling round some very muddy paths to look at boats without a care in the world. So good to see them relaxed and not thinking about their phones.
macs certainly has a good eye for a gift soop. Mr C could do with lessons, I’m not sure how anyone can live with another person for over 50 years and have no idea about clothes that suit.
Off to blow the cobwebs away, well between the car and the shops .

I had great fun with the giddy girls who couldn’t have been easier. While grandpa headed off to help the local oldies i.e. the real old people, we girls drove to a local beauty spot. It was lovely to watch the 2 pre-teens suddenly remember that they are still children at heart, They clambered, climbed and explored the familiar places with zest and with never a cross word between them. When we came back they helped make chocolate tiffin and then built the mother of all dens in the garden. We took some of the tiffin along to my elderly neighbours, then dad came to collect them just in time to let me to crack on with food preparation for our 6 friends who were coming for an informal meal this evening. It was a bit of a crazy hour getting ready but we then all enjoyed a couple of hours eating in the garden. The girls tiffin went down well with coffee at the end of a pleasant evening. I have to admit that I am absolutely cream crackered now and ready for my bed! So goodnight kitchen friends, sleep well and as always toya
