Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

That's a daft saying, sweetpea

Whitewavemark2 Sun 07-Jul-19 10:37:35

sweetpea ?? Hubble bubble?

Look, Meghan is now a Royal and all Royals have their privileges. What do you want? Harry and Meghan to move into a council house and get jobs in a factory? Stop all the jealous bickering!!!

The baby pics of Archie are lovely.

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 10:45:13

Charlie van Whoeverzee is still a secret as far as I'm concerned, merlot as I've no idea who he is.

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 10:46:30

Yes, the baby pics are lovely.

GrannyAnnie2010 Sun 07-Jul-19 10:46:39

If Megan was our daughter-in-law, would we be saying such horrible things about her?
I am truly shocked and saddened. Harry must feel so hurt by these hateful comments about the woman he loves.

All Royals have their privileges

Yes, they do but the Queen realises that with privilege comes duty - remember her speech when she was 21?

Brilliant. Says it all Well said .

sweetpea GN isn’t a group of nodding dogs

grannytotwins Sun 07-Jul-19 10:57:54

I’m not surprised that they want privacy surrounding their son. The obliged with a couple of photos from the christening day and the press have been vile. There’s been a body language expert scrutinising the millisecond group photo and declaring ridiculous things about the Cambridges. I believe that it’s Harry trying to protect his wife and son that’s upset the media and they go for them at every opportunity to make them look bad.

I wonder how she put it to him, that she didn't actually like the ring?

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 11:00:21

Sorry to bang about it. I'm just shocked.

Anniebach Sun 07-Jul-19 11:05:38

It is surely most unusual to redesign your engagement ring

inishowen Sun 07-Jul-19 11:09:11

They have released two nice photos of the christening. What more do we want?

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 11:20:27

Actually, that is right, inishowen
A formal statement about the event plus who are godparents and official photos is all that should be required but the press in particular have led people to expect so much more.
Perhaps the Royals themselves are to blame too by opening up their lives to public scrutiny; remember such programmes as It's a Royal Knockout?

Paparazzi, long distance camera lens, Blair's insistence on those boys being paraded after their mother's death like performers in a drama, has all led to a lack of privacy which anyone, even the RF, is entitled to expect alongside carrying out their royal duties when they are 'on show'.

Sashabel Sun 07-Jul-19 11:23:59

The British press are a pack of vile, lying rats. If they can't find a story, then they think it's fine to make one up. Unfortunately, a large proportion of the public then believe the rubbish that is printed and so the "story" grows and grows.
The press were largely responsible for the death of Diana, so you can't blame her son for wanting to shield his own son from them. He is no pushover and I'm sure the decision to have a private christening is as much his desire and hers.
Let them get on with their life and stop this Meghan-bashing

Callistemon Sun 07-Jul-19 11:24:47

I chose my engagement ring - goodness knows what DH would have picked! I'd probably have asked to swap it.
That's not unusual, is it?

blondenana Sun 07-Jul-19 11:28:33

It will come out eventually who the godparents are, someone will leak it, but who cares who they are anyway,i don't

Whitewavemark2 Sun 07-Jul-19 11:29:15

I so hope this has nothing to do with Meghan’s colour, of course you will all come back hotly denying etc etc, but I feel very uncomfortable about the extraordinarily unpleasantness of a group on here.

Nasty lot.

Anniebach Sun 07-Jul-19 11:33:29

What rubbish claiming Blair insisted the sons were paraded

The sobbing crowds at Buck House and KP ?

Sadly Diana and her manfriend were responsible for their own deaths . They chose to leave a luxurious apartment in the Ritz to dash across Paris to a flat, why ? They knew the press were outside the Ritz , they were playing cat and mouse , sadly they lost the game.

Anniebach Sun 07-Jul-19 11:38:15

I feel uncomfortable that you had to bring racism into the thread Whitewave , nasty comment

Hetty58 Sun 07-Jul-19 11:40:22

I stumbled upon the title of this post, laughed and thought 'Why should Megan care what you think?' Mind you, I've never taken any interest in the Royals. I'm not anti-royalty, just indifferent.

Flowbow Sun 07-Jul-19 11:42:12

I don’t get all the hate towards her. The 3 nannies quitting is a headline that makes people hate her. The article I read was that they quit because she wants to do everything herself for Archie. That’s not a bad thing at all and how most new mothers are.

The media are constantly putting Meghan and Catherine against each other for a story and people are buying in to it. There are accounts on Twitter that scrutinise every little thing she does. They post hate and wish her dead. They believe her pregnancy was fake and now believe that Archie is a doll. There was threats to kill her. Can you not understand why they are trying to do things in their own terms? The hate for how much they spent on the cottage is shocking. Yes it was a shocking amount but the Cambridge’s spent a lot more. It’s what they royals do.

eazybee Sun 07-Jul-19 11:42:46

To be fair to the Duchess of Sussex, she did plenty of appearances while she was pregnant; the Leave refers to the time she has had since the birth,(is it about three months?) when she may well have been breast-feeding. Not to mention wielding a paint brush.

Gonegirl Sun 07-Jul-19 11:44:42

I don't for one moment think it's about her colour!
