Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

The media adored Diana from day 1, she certainly didn’t get bad press.

Kate was criticised because she and William were together for ages before they married, considering they met when at university then no surprise they didn’t rush into marriage,

I never felt sorry for Megan, too pushy, loves the camera.

She gets a bad press because she does such silly things; tells people what they should be doing in areas where she has no experience, but doesn't apply it to herself.
Her wardrobe for Africa will be interesting; lets hope she has listened to the criticism of her expensive foreign couture and £99,000 bell tents and followed the advice of one fashion editor: "five pieces making ten outfits; let's hope the Duchess practises what she preaches".

One of M's most stupid antics was the writing "You are special" on bananas to give to young women working the streets. How patronising! How ridiculous! How very unhelpful! How very stage-managed and Hollywood and just downright pathetic.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the young women were given them!!!

Anniebach, the media adored Diana, no they didn't! The topless photos , the photo of her wearing the skirt where the sun was shining through it. The constant speculation about James Hewit. I have a very different impression of how the Media treated Diana, so do her family.

Anniebach Fri 20-Sept-19 20:10:58

There was an affair with Hewitt, she said she adored him.

Her Family ? She wasn’t speaking to them before her death, they didn’t approve of her behaviour

Fiachna50 Fri 20-Sept-19 20:43:54

So what about the topless photos and the other photo Anniebach? Was that an adoring Media? It is my impression she was on speaking terms with at least one of her sisters.

Anniebach Fri 20-Sept-19 20:58:51

I didn’t see topless photographs, speaking to one sister not speaking to her mother, brother and elder sister.

The photograph before she was married was very much liked by the public .

She contacted the press to have cameras present, what about
posing on the end of a yacht diving board, the photograph of
her attending a heart operation in full make up and earings,

Anniebach Fri 20-Sept-19 21:17:30

Pointless continuing with this , she is dead

Fiachna50 Fri 20-Sept-19 23:36:50

Well I don't know how you missed the topless photos as they were all over the newspapers. Maybe you dont know it all. The Media pursued and persecuted Princess Diana. It is well known.

Totally agree with you paddyman, people die in this country everyday due to lack of funding for the NHS and medication etc.
People living on the streets through no fault of their own, whilst we the taxpayers keep these hooray Henry’s in wealth, privilege and homes to choose from, what is wrong with us, it’s hard working people who should benefit from what they put in, not like these people who get paid extortionate amounts every year to go and talk about an opening of an envelope ( but don’t take pics you don’t pay me enough I’m just a private person ???) no your not if you don’t like it don’t take money off the tax payers earn your own and buy your own home.
Please don’t start me off about Royals or anyone else we have to work to keep, and before anyone thinks to criticise my grammar don’t bother as I really don’t care what you think of it.

Gfplux Mon 02-Dec-19 17:11:53

As most if not all of the information is printed by newspapers known for their embellishment of the truth I don’t think any outsider can make any judgement about these Royal people.
No one can rely on the information that is printed.

The newspapers cannot be held responsible for their interviews in S.A.

Cherrytree59 Mon 02-Dec-19 17:51:45

Actually july 2019!

florence8 Mon 02-Dec-19 17:53:58

According to their Instagram account, with the festive holiday season upon us, we're being reminded to reflect on those in need, those who may feel hungry, lonely, helpless etc., etc.,

All very laudable but isn't it the Queen who normally gives us a gentle nudge in her Christmas speech?

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 18:18:55

good grief .

I should ask, is she ok !

Pantglas2 Mon 02-Dec-19 18:21:13

Why couldn’t she just call it what it is? Christmas, not ‘the holidays’.

aggie Mon 02-Dec-19 18:23:13

Why is this thread resurrected after so long , give it a rest

merlotgran Mon 02-Dec-19 18:35:41

I have no idea why it was resurrected and I don't wish to appear rude, aggie but as I'm not breaking any Gnet guidelines, I'll ignore you.

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 18:38:38

Why give it a rest aggie, ? no one has to read it if they don’t want to.

aggie Mon 02-Dec-19 18:50:55

OK just ignore me , just seems daft rehashing old things , guess it is recycling ?

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 19:02:18

Opinions on Their Christmas message isn’t rehashing things

notanan2 Mon 02-Dec-19 19:06:12

There is no obligation to join threads "in real time" hmm

If you're "over" this thread why bother to comment on new comments?

Summerlove Mon 02-Dec-19 19:11:37

Why couldn’t she just call it what it is? Christmas, not ‘the holidays’.

Because Christmas isn’t the only holiday happening in December?

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 19:17:49

They are on a six week holiday !
