Clearly the need is for a big handbag with a bottle of ‘water’ in it

G and T and bottle of beer at Ascot £12.40. So in comparison reasonable !!

Luckily I do not like fizz of any description but those prices, even yours phoenix are high but I am Scottish.

Crazy, outrageous price indeed!

Very fond of a drop (or 2 wink ) of fizz, usually Lidl Cava at around £5.25 a bottle.

I accept that on the odd occasion that we meet friends at the pub, we might pay almost that for one of those little bottles, but £14 for one glass!! Total rip off!

That’s what I thought Kitty anyway we are going out to supper tomorrow night celebrating having met 51 years ago, so I shall make up for it then at Prezzo’s where the prices are reasonable.

Yes Gonegirl DH is generous and to think my dear old mum warned me against him as she said he would be tight with his money coming from the very north of the country. Don’t want to name the area in case I offend anyone. I am not into stereotyping.

Went to a lovely tennis tournament today but was shocked at the prices.

They wanted £14.00 for a 125 ml glass of fizz. DH said he would buy me one but I declined, just couldn’t justify that amount.

I wonder what prices are like at Glastonbury, Wimbledon at the like.
