Apparently I am a cross between Sue Barker and Dusty Springfield.
My friend is a dead ringer for Jo Brand. (She cannot see it!)

Everyone says I look like a younger version of twiggy but I look like me and I like it that way.

Blinko I love your hair, especially the white bit at the front.
Mine used to be like that, but it's all white now. Still bouncy though.

Many a time I have been told I look like Camilla. I think it must be the hair!

BlueBelle Fri 28-Jun-19 15:03:26

Fb did one of those games entitled what would you look like as a man so for fun I did it and back came my photo touched up to resemble a man short hair etc and my word I couldn’t believe it my Dad was looking out at me I sent it to my kids they all wrote back but thats granddad I don’t mind at all as my Dad was a fine looking fella and never had any wrinkles right up to his death at 92
I ve been told by friends I look a bit like Denise Welsh but I don’t drink like her and my taste in men is QUITE different

Beammeupscottie. I can't remember her as barmy! Everyone in the series is adorable unless they are the villains! I probably love her because she's barmy! I just love barmy people!
I think you must look gorgeous!

Barmy - lovely word, thanks!

I know it's who we look like, but people kept telling me that I sound like Delia Smith, a few years ago anyway when she was on TV cooking.

When I was in my teens I was asked to "double" for someone famous in a practice for a big ceremony. Not allowed to tell. V. sorry.

Beammeupscottie Fri 28-Jun-19 14:35:15

Tillybelle. Yes, have the big smile and can turn on the charm but wasn't she barmy!!!

Tillybelle Fri 28-Jun-19 14:29:05

Just said on another thread, my mum, born same year as the Queen, looked extremely like her.

Even now I see the odd film or photo of Her Maj. and get a terrible lurch in my stomach.

Mum was adopted. She knew her mother. She liked to muse upon the possibility of who her father was .......

I do not look like her. I am always being told I look like a particular American actress. I don't mind. I am not going to name which one.

Beammeupscottie Fri 28-Jun-19 14:25:09

Gwendoline of the wool shop from Wallace and Gromit's "A Close Shave".

Tillybelle Fri 28-Jun-19 14:21:13

I know a man who looks like Gollum.

lindiann Fri 28-Jun-19 14:03:32

When I was about 20 or so, a friend once suggested I looked like the actress Angela Pleasence, (Donald Pleasence's daughter) and I can see a passing resemblance. I wasn't overly flattered, though. She has a face full of character, helpful in her profession I suppose, but she's no beauty! Some of the parts she's played have been pretty scary! Google her! (Remember her name is -ence, not -ance.)

Yorksherlass Fri 28-Jun-19 13:41:21

Forgot to add ,complete with whiskers!

Yorksherlass Fri 28-Jun-19 13:40:42

Well today I look like Worzel Gummidge , come to think of most days !

Niucla97 Fri 28-Jun-19 13:37:23

My eldest son was likened to George Michael!

Beebaabo Fri 28-Jun-19 13:35:58

I look like more like my niece than my daughter.

Oldandverygrey Fri 28-Jun-19 13:23:13

Seadragon - a good sense of humour is a wonderful asset!

seadragon Fri 28-Jun-19 13:20:55

Oldandverygrey My mum was mistaken for Mrs Thatcher more than once. I flatter myself that I look like Judy Dench but treasure the time a male friend told me I had the look of Blondie!

Oldandverygrey Fri 28-Jun-19 13:11:35

Apparently I resemble Margaret Thatcher - even down to the handbag!

Grammaretto Fri 28-Jun-19 13:09:50

When I was a little girl I wanted to look like Grace Kelly in High Noon but sadly, didn't. Then Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. Later Jane Fonda, Ingrid Bergman, Leslie Caron, Jeanne Moreau and Debbie Reynolds.
Now well, I look my age is all I'm going to say and no longer aspire to resemble anyone. but at least I'm still here

merlotgran we used our imaginations far more, before colour TV and cinema.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 28-Jun-19 13:08:16

My Mum looked like Doris Day, my husband has often been mistaken for “Dirty Den” of Eastenders (sorry I have no idea what his proper name is as I do not watch any soaps)

Me, I am just me and happy to be so. Mind you my sister sent a picture to me a couple of weeks ago, I was 14 and I still have the same hairstyle, longish and a strand tucked behind the same ear!!!!!

helenmabr Fri 28-Jun-19 12:53:04

All my life, up to about age 50 l was told l looked like Julie Andrews! “Has anyone ever told you you look like Julie Andrews?” Only about a million tines, extra weight changed that post 50!
