callgirl it’s amazing how many times I have been in hospital and had one of those patients near by who thinks only of themselves and kick up all sort of fuss when they don’t get their own way. Hope your daughter is on the mend soon.

gransal Tue 16-Jul-19 23:04:37

I was in hospital with one who always seemed to have "heart problems" at visiting times . Talk about attention seeking!!

Feelingmyage55 Tue 16-Jul-19 23:45:11

grannyqueenie. Too late. I hit the garden centre running because I don’t get there often enough ?

Nannytopsy Wed 17-Jul-19 06:17:39

callgirl I hope things quietened down in your daughter’s ward. Things were fairly quiet here but it didn’t help me sleep. I was searching the internet for new beds at 2am and was awake again at 5! I feel as if an afternoon nap might be needed ?.

Charleygirl5 Wed 17-Jul-19 09:28:24

callgirl I saw in the London Evening Standard yesterday that a new hotel was charging £45 for afternoon tea, a reasonable rate I suppose but £500 for a pot of tea! Nobody including myself could understand why it cost so much for 3 extra cups of tea from this teapot which was not even gold plated.

Pleased to hear that Dawn is on the mend. When I had my knee replaced last year, my neighbour punched a member of staff, I was a witness so was pleased to put pen to paper. The patient thought she was alone I think in the 20 bedded old fashioned Nightingale ward.

Another glorious day here. I have to return a non-working item to Currys- they will be delighted but I will not be leaving until I get a result.

Soop Good morning, I totally forgot to take a photo of the "hair do" last night so here is one from this morning after an extremely restless night, (at least it is still long enough to be "put up")

annsixty Wed 17-Jul-19 10:01:36

Are you sure are old enough to be on this website GrannyG?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 17-Jul-19 10:17:55

Oh I am definitely old enough annsixty, I have to thank my wonderful parents for my genes particularly my Mum.

I appreciate it now, but I hated it in my early twenties when I was constantly asked for ID in pubs or if I had alcohol in my shopping trolley (my daughter is the same, but she has inherited my Mums beauty as well)

Doodle Wed 17-Jul-19 10:20:10

ann that’s exactly what I was going to say ?. You look so young GG

GrannyGravy13 Wed 17-Jul-19 10:24:29

OK confession time I am 62 on Monday ??

annsixty Wed 17-Jul-19 10:51:44

Well you look brilliant.
I was 82 last Friday so you have lots and lots of time to do everything you want and I absolutely urge you and everyone else to do it while you can.

annsixty Wed 17-Jul-19 13:14:42

Another very hard day at the “coal face”.

Charleygirl5 Wed 17-Jul-19 15:21:14

ann that cat is so stressed and uncared for she really should be removed!!!

She is absolutely gorgeous and is resembling one of Hattie's favourite poses - full stretched out, fast asleep without a care in the world.

Does she not shed loads of hairs? Tara does at present and being mainly black they show up everywhere.

Bellanonna Wed 17-Jul-19 15:30:23

I agree, Charley, she is lovely. And GG’s hair looks great. I echo whatAnn said, about enjoying life.

Charleygirl5 Wed 17-Jul-19 16:02:51

fully stretched out. I should check what I write!

Nannyfaraway Wed 17-Jul-19 17:32:09

Good afternoon everyone. Busy shift today. One of our tenants was admitted to hospital yesterday and that's where I had to start my shift.
Tenant been discharged now and back in her familiar environment.
GrannyG you look great and Anne that's a lovely day.

Nannyfaraway Wed 17-Jul-19 17:33:03

Cat not day

callgirl1 Wed 17-Jul-19 18:07:37

Molly looks very settled, but no wonder, that chair looks so comfy!
Love your hair GG

Synonymous Wed 17-Jul-19 18:11:23

Just arrived home from the 'big smoke' and Himself is on cloud 9 because he managed to achieve the challenge he was given and actually walked into the clinic without even a stick. He is now waiting for an appointment to go back in a month to have a cast done for a new and better leg. A grin as wide as that of the Cheshire cat! grin
Personally, I am absolutely shattered so it is a very early night for us and hopefully a good sleep.

TOYA flowers

GrannyGravy13 Wed 17-Jul-19 18:39:33

Synonymous that’s good news, it’s a long hard journey but Mr.Synonymous seems to be embracing it wholeheartedly

TOYA ??

Doodle Wed 17-Jul-19 19:52:26

Good news synonymous. That’s great.

MawBroonsback Wed 17-Jul-19 19:54:52

This was Hattie today as I enjoyed Downton Abbey! Tucked into the small of my back on the sofa.

Panache Wed 17-Jul-19 23:14:50

What a pleasure wandering into my favourite kitchen and catching up just a little, fully realising how much I have missed!Lovely pictures too,all a welcome treat.
Missed you lots and can`t wait to have time to be with you much more.

We are certainly making use of all the facilities as my man had to pull the red safety cord the other night as I was violently sick..........repeatedly.
Indeed it works too!
I was visited by a charming young doc and it seems my new very strong A/B`s containing penecillin was too much for my weak tum...........still having my leg dressed daily and doing my best to rest and elevate.

Home is slowly appearing and at last our missing clocks and my specs have come to light!!!

Fire alarm this evening and with the speed the Fire Brigade arrived I guess we are in safe hands! Thankfully a false alarm.

Time I was in the land of nod so I bid you all a fond farewell and hopefully a lovely new tomorrow.

gransal Wed 17-Jul-19 23:50:53

panache a delight to hear from you, albeit with some unfortunate news. However some good news as well. Take very good care and come back to the kitchen soon.

kittylester Thu 18-Jul-19 07:08:07
