More babies! How lovely ?. My first GN meet up was with Kitty. My husband warned me to stay in a public place and he was very relieved to find she is the (wonderful) MiL of his colleague!

Soop’s kitchen, filled with kindness, understanding and some damn fine cake ! Come on in.
(1001 Posts)Hello familiar faces and new ones too - come in for a chat or to share your cares !
I am only now catching up on today's news.
Greyduster My flabber is is well and truly gasted.
Such behaviour for a Kitchener.
I can say I have never had a hangover.
And my wooden nose ,just like Pinnochio is growing by the second.
I am so pleased you had a lovely evening.
kitty excuse me but some of us have standards!
I have been watching tennis- poor Kyle- he was doing so well until his injury.
dragonfly, yes BiL was driving alone - his wife doesnt like being in the car with him (presumably because hes not safe!!!) She flies there and back. I'm still hoping mad so I wont bore you any more about it. Until something else happens.
Bertie came 1st and 2nd in his races and Persie came last and 1st!!! We are still in shock!
gd, hope you are feeling better but lovely to hear you felt your anniversary worth celebrating - I assume you weren't drowning your sorrows?
Yet more babies and twins this time. Isnt it lovely to have good news!
ann put that man down.
The behaviour in the kitchen at the moment is more suited to the Argy Bargy what with hangovers and chasing younger men!

tanith You are kind.
I am running ridiculously late. Seem to have a problem with my FB page. Cannot work out what to do next.
Will just leave you for today with the usual fond farewell...TOYA

Thank you for all the kind thoughts and congrats Ive left some cream to go with strawberry gateau I'm leaving for you all to enjoy there's plenty to go round.
Tanith Congratulations, gorgeous little girl!
Soop that's a great photo of Matt and Torben, a very handsome pair
TOYA
Ann For you, anything is possible.
I am a teeny bit frazzled. A big pile of ironing tackled and cleared. Now that I'm home, does anyone object to me watching a game of tennis? I thought not. You are all far too kind for that sort of thing. I shall sit awhile. Have several brews followed by several wees before returning a little later.
Welcome to Ruby Rose, your portrait will hang in the kitchen gallery. You are a beautiful wee lassie. Congratulations to Tanith and family.
Happy Anniversary GD and lovely picture of your son and Torbin Soop.
Kitty was your BiL driving alone through France? I am not surprised you are feeling frustrated at his wife's attitude. My daughter also used to be more interested in flowers than sport!
TOYA.
Gosh what a lot of news to catch up on.
I am so pleased to hear the Panaches are safely settled in their new home.
Tanith what a lovely name Ruby Rose is. You are so lucky having so many great grandchildren. I only have two GC.
Good to see you Izabella.
GrannyGravy my experience of meeting up was so dreadful that we are still doing it monthly 4 years on! A nicer group one could not meet- I have been very lucky.
A week on Friday I am meeting another group and again, having met each other previously we are meeting again for coffee and then lunch.
There is an electrician working here so the rear door has been open for ages but there is a fair breeze now so I am going to seek out a cardigan.
In regard to meeting up with Gransnetters for the first time, I got a long lecture from daughter along the lines of "you have warned us NEVER to meet up with anyone we met/talk to on line Mother!!!!!"
She sent me a text every 15 minutes to check I was alive ?
Annsixty enjoy meeting up with your cousin.
Greyduster......self imposed headaches do not warrant sympathy just lots of teasing??? Ginger Ale and 2 paracetamol should do the job (not that I am an expert ?)
I am off to potter in the garden
TOYA
GreyD I am surprised that your DH has not sussed by now that you had no more intention of meeting up with GNs for coffee, lunch or flying. We know you have a "bit on the side"!
I am pleased to hear that the Panaches made it to their new flat, can now unpack at their leisure and with luck, the house will sell soon.
TOYA
GD, I hope your headache is better, although it's self-inflicted
.
ann, how exciting for you to be meeting up with a distant cousin. If the elephant skeleton is still in residence at Piccadilly Station, it would be a good place to arrange your meeting!
Good news in our family today. My nephew and his wife's twins (one of each) were delivered safely this morning, each weighing 6lbs 6oz. I hope to go up to Scotland to meet them before they get too big.
Hello the kitchen. Please would nobody rattle any pots and pans today as I have a bit of a hangover; the result of too much anniversary wine with dinner followed by a very foolish gin and tonic. That’s about a week’s worth of my normal alcohol intake gone in an evening! I am wearing sunglasses - in the house! Serves me right!
Tanith Ruby Rose is delightful. Newborn babies - in fact, babies of any age - bring out the best in us. We look forward to more photos as she gets older.
Ann talking about your GD’s meeting with your cousin at the station put me in mind of my first GN meetup. DH was convinced I either had a lover and the grans were a trumped up story to cover it, or they were a cabal of axe murderers and I was going to my doom! He is more blasé about my forays these days.
Kitty good luck to Bertie and Persie at sports day. We used to enjoy them and miss it now, but did manage to get down to the city athletics stadium yesterday to watch GS run in the interschools 800 metres. To see him trundling along in the middle of the pack you would have thought he was going to stop and pick daisies too, but then he woke up and came in fifth, which was still very respectable. We’ve come to the conclusion that he needs a growth spurt to lengthen his legs a bit!
Panache glad you are in and starting to feel at home. Everything else will fall into place in due course. I hope the trip to the hospital is not too onerous for your DH, and for you.
Soop Torben looks quite at home on the high seas with his dad! When does he get to have a go at paddling? Lovely photo!
It is still rather cold here. I was going fishing today but I will have to wait for my head to stop aching first, so we have postponed it until tomorrow. I hope it will have warmed up a bit by then or the fish will be sulking on the bottom!
I will look in later. Now where’s the Alka Seltzer........
Welcome to Ruby Rose.
This morning, after sight and hearing tests in Boots (all fine and excellent service!) I strolled through the baby clothes and saw nothing I liked for our wee Ruaridh. BUT lovely things for little girls!
Would DS and DiL mind if I bought a beautiful little dress in broderie anglaise for him?
Maybe suit Ruby Rose rather better!!
I am excited again because half an hour ago a distant cousin I met online has ring to say can we meet in Manchester next week.
We have never met and I am really looking forward to it.
My GD will worry like and ,she thinks I put myself at risk, but I think Piccadilly Station is quite safe and I have talked to him online and by phone for 3 years and I also talk to his wife.
He is only 65 so I have told her it is me doing the grooming if anyone is.
Just a tiny coincidence Tanith, today is our middle daughter's 38th birthday - she is called Elizabeth Rose (well Lizzie actually!!)
Fancy having 5 great grand children - how lovely!!
Another reunion Ann, lots of lovely gossiping and catching up to do.
Off to Sports Day for Bertie and Persie. Bertie tries really hard but Persie is likely to find a beautiful daisy that she just has to pick. I hope is stays warm!
Not all dull women do, N&G! ?
Morning all !!
A new baby? That's the sort of news to wake up to , congratulations Tanith.!
Lovely picture soop made me feel like a trip to the sea!
Plum bread sounds just the ticket Keeper - Ill have some !!
Glad the move was achieved panache and hope you can now enjoy some rest and relaxation ( after your marathon trip today of course) . Moving is my nightmare and I am NEVER doing it again :-)
Its a lazy day here with just the usual household chores going on although its a blue sky day and that always tempts me to say sod it and go out and enjoy it . After all , as my Gran used to say - Dull women keep immaculate houses' !! :-)
Happy day all xx
annodomini Ruby Rose has two older brothers, my GS has a little girl Evie his sister is due in August a little boy so that will be 5 GGC altogether my family is certainly expanding every year I’m blessed truly.
It’s a nightmare trying to organise a family meal out though ?
Please may I have cheese straws with my Prosecco?
I forgot the Panaches in my “congratulatary”?? post.
I hope very sincerely that things start to be more settled for them from now on.
Another bad night but another long phone call from another old friend who has invited me to stay with her for a few days in September, this is the earliest we can make as she is having surgery on her foot at the beginning of August.
Something else to look forward to. Me, not her!!
All my Inner Wheel plans are cancelled as my friend and neighbour has very bad sciatica and is housebound.
Another bathroom break is becoming urgent so I will just say TOYA
Some lovely news in the kitchen- a beautiful baby girl, greydusters happy anniversary and the panaches have moved to their new home. Nice to see everyone. Victoria sponge fingers and Prosecco to toast the good news.
