Harry’s dilemma

I suspect that our own dear Queen is in a bit of a quandry at the moment, to say the least. (Has any other "head of state", when invited to meet the Queen for a formal state visit in her own country, announced that they will bring along half a dozen members of their family? Could Trump be any more crass?) I think Harry will simply do what is expected of him (by the Queen) which probably means just turning up, taking very much of a back seat, then legging it as soon as is politely possible!

I didn't think that Harry is a minor royal, Anniebach - certainly he is higher ranking than Anne, Edward and Sophie.

He should go, be extremely polite and show by example (not that Trump will learn any manners at this late stage in his life).

Meghan is officially on maternity leave so has the perfect excuse not to meet him. Harry will know what's expected of him.

The Queen, obviously will, and possibly Charles and if anyone else, then William surely, but why Harry?

I didn't think either Meghan or Harry would be around anyway as Harry has an engagement somewhere and I knew that Meghan refused a meeting from the start.

I’m sure Harry will be the bigger man, as stated previously, the Royals are trained to rise above silly little men like Trump!

Given that Trump has just interfered in a U.K. domestic political matter (election of next Tory Leader) I don’t think Harry not having tea with him would count as a diplomatic incident.
Trump will incite plenty of those all by himself!

Duty calls. I am sure the Queen would probably rather not have to meet the man, but duty is inbuilt with her position as Queen. There have probably been lots of people she didn't like and didn't want to spend time with, lots of things she's had to do out of duty, but she just puts on that lovely smile and gets on with her job. There already seems to be some friction between certain Royals and Meghan, why make things worse by not 'grinning and bearing it' for an hour or two. Think of that lovely feeling of relief when it's done with.... like coming home from the dreaded dentist!
