Husband!!

Good to hear I'm not alone, although I do sometimes feel alone when he just sits sleeping.

Certainly not sleep apnea, and yes, we are both night owls, but he is also stubborn and will not go to bed before me---but always wakes later than me in the morning.

He is also a 'fly catcher'

I suppose the worst thing is the dozing off when we have important visitors, but as we are shortly to retire after 32 years as Foster Carers, I won't have to worry about him falling asleep when SWs visit!!!!!!

Many men wake up when you turn the TV over complaining "I was watching that".
I never doze off in the armchair. If I feel tired in the afternoon I have a lie down.

Mine only goes to sleep when he gets in bed at night, he’s never been a dozer, unless he’s not feeling 100%, which is rare.

He never stops talking, but I’ve learned not to listen.

I eventually refused to go to the cinema or theatre with my late DH, as he always fell asleep, then would complain, “I don’t know what the heck THAT was about!” Usually I would have to nudge him awake when he started to snore, but he always vehemently denied that he had been snoozing.

Mine does this and still goes to bed earlier than me and gets up later

Be grateful he's still there!

Mine used to do a lot of that after he retired, which really irritated me. However, he died suddenly 2 years ago and I really miss everything about him now.

The one advantage of him being able to watch his films/sport on the laptop, he can nod off and I'm not left with the footie etc on the telly!
Mind you if my son happens to find him dozing he sometimes fiddles with the laptop so OH wonders what has happened when he wakes.... won't repeat what son gets called lol.

Mine gets quite shirty when I enquire if he's asleep...or if I turn off the programme he's (not) watching.

Sounds like me and I remember my father being like that.

Mine can drop off quite happily during the day and then complains that he doesn't sleep well at night. When he dozes during the day he often does so with his head back and his mouth open. Consequently he snores just like his father did when in his 90s - long time until DH gets to 90 - which is most off-putting.

Oh and then he manages to sleep all night too when I am wide awake!

I don't know whether mine does it during the day or not but he does spend a lot of time being quiet in his study!

I'm the one who does this in our house. Although I still do it even if I go to bed early

My husband can sleep any time of day even after getting up late. Then complains he can't sleep at night !!

It must be universal - mine is just the same.

My DH is not quiet as bad. He is ways very active during the day but when he sits down to read, the book usually ends up on the floor zzzzzz...
I been known to nod off in the afternoon too.

I've got one of them too. Wouldn't swap him though.

Never ceases to amaze how easily they seem able to drop off to sleep anywhere they plonk themselves!
Yesterday afternoon mine was sat in armchair, computer on his lap and headphones on 'watching' the F1 race. He must of been zzzzzz for at least half of it lol. He never watches a whole film at one sitting, always has to have at least two goes at it to see the complete thing.
It is funny to sit and watch the head slowly drop ... followed by the quick jerk back up, and the arm gradually sliding down only to flip back up to rest his head on.... ready to gently start all over again...
