I’ve already taken advice ? and there’s nothing to worry about. I am undergoing a long course of laser treatment in an effort to restore more mobility in my arm after an operation had some unexpected results. My body throws up plenty of unexpected happenings but I am assured that this spottiness will pass quickly. Apparently my system is having challenges in removing debris from the Lasering.

My DF used to tell me that I was a “Friday model” !

By the way, for anyone who has ever admired my erstwhile skills as a photographer, I decided today to keep a photographic record of house martins building a nest in our eves. I stood outside waiting this morning for them to appear. They didn’t. So I sat in the car for a while, eating sweeties, and back they came, so out I got, camera at the ready and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t see anything through the viewfinder. By the time I realised I hadn’t taken the lens cap off they were gone again (you could hear them laughing!), so I gave up! Back to the drawing board!

I like the name McGarfield, Soop, but Brodie does trip off the tongue better! He’s a fine looking lad, with a “don’t mess with me” air about him and no mistake, and, like Rory, I hope he comes to realise which side his bread is buttered! I like your hairstyle!

Callgirl that is good news of an end to your DS’s treatment. I hope that the only way is up for him from now on.

I too have been thinking about Panache today and hoping her viewing went ahead. She deserves something positive to happen.

Galen I am so sorry for your sadness and hope there is some solace for you.

A week of horrible pain drove DH back to the dentist today after his tooth extraction. He apparently has a dry socket. Not what he wanted to hear. It has been treated and hopefully he will get some relief, but how on Earth are you supposed to drink and keep the area dry? I think drinking through a straw may have been what caused it in the first place, but no-one tells you these things! Certainly not the dentist! Hey ho!

School run for us this afternoon. GS is out on a geography field trip (weren’t they called nature walks in our day?), so no idea what time to expect him back. Thank goodness for mobile phones (never though I would hear myself say that!). I just have time to pot up some geraniums before we go. I will look in later.

We spent a very interesting day at Bletchley Park on Saturday. It was so fascinating hearing all the stories from the people who worked there during the war.

Charleyg Brodie won't need to learn to trust us. He's his own being. He obviously is in good shape. Our bowl of biscuits will be a bonus, and just knowing that he calls into the chalet, makes us very happy.

Fennel Having a stonebuilt holiday cottage in the Heelands must have been idyllic. We two used to ramble for miles when we first came to Kintyre. We've photos taken high on hills and striding through the glens. Fond memories.

Swanny There is no shame attached to being a Tena lady. My problems with front and rear prolapses demand 24 hour protection. I am however fortunate to have said protection provided free of charge.

anno That is such sad news regarding your granddaughter's diagnosis. Please may the latest treatment and support system enable her to continue to live a fulfilled life.

At least he is making full use of the hotel facilities, not only a snatched meal. It will take many months for him to half trust you, if at all. He is handsome. I love his chalet.

My DGD is keeping me informed on Whatsapp of her GCSE progress and seems confident so far. Fingers crossed for first Maths paper tomorrow.
Senior DGD, now 27, has MS and has been allocated her own nurse who is going to keep an eye on her and show her how to self-inject the drugs she has to take. I'm desperately sad for her but she is remarkably positive.

I woke up around 2am for some reason could not get back to sleep so switched on my light to read my book and sure enough I had company. As soon as I switched off my light madam retreated to her own bedroom.

She decided to go out today so peace for a few hours. I have been looking for her insurance forms etc but no joy, File is not a recognised word in this house.

Urmonstangran yes I've been afflicted with hay-fever for the last 10 years, about the time I moved from a coastal location to a major city, although my sister has seemingly had it forever, along with a pet hair allergy. I've had to become a Tena lady as the sneezes can be so violent I felt too embarrassed to go out without the extra protection

I`ve never been to Plockton, but wish now that I had, it looks so peaceful.

My grandson and great grandson were here this afternoon, I told them I was in Skegness on Friday night to see Marty Wilde, he said "Who`s he?" I keep forgetting how old I am and how young he is, lol!!
Corner, I used to love visiting the Butterfly Park at Long Sutton, about a 45 minute drive from here, but sadly it has closed down now. It`s so warm and moist in those places that specs and camera lenses steam up at first, takes a few minutes for them to settle down, but some of the butterflies were amazingly beautiful, I loved it when they landed on me.
I`m glad Tara is safely home.
Izabella, I hope you`re feeling better now.
My son has finished his radiotherapy, just one chemo session tomorrow then he can ring the bell!

Urmstongran - I know Plockton, as you say it's a beautiful place, with a wonderful sheltered mild climate. Like most of that west part of Scotland.
We had a stonebuilt holiday house in the Highlands in the days when we could still go walking up the glens. Husband more than me. He bought it at an auction for £20k . Sometimes we drove over to the west, to Plockton, and the islands further north. The beaches up there are perfect.
