GrannyQ thank you for your concern, I`m just feeling very tired just lately, so many night-time trips for a wee doesn`t leave much time over for sleep, so consequently I was feeling sorry for myself. It`s my birthday today, for 15 more minutes anyway, and my family have spoilt me with cards and pressies. Off out for Sunday dinner with the family tomorrow. It should have been a meal out tonight, but it coincided with what some considered an important football match, so I was sidelined to tomorrow!

Well done grannygravy, and lovely they are too. We visited our local RHS garden last weekend, it’s always a pleasing experience and our grandchildren also enjoy it there.
Like some other grans here my garden is in good order. We go away tomorrow for the best part of a week and I'm hoping the pots etc survive. My lovely young neighbour and her 8 year old lad are willing waterers, if a little haphazard at times That tale of mange tout made me smile! soop, Macsporran may need to go to that well known high street optician. Glad to hear that the care of friends is reminding you that you're loved by one and all.
callgirl you sound not quite your usual self. It can be hard to keep going, you’ll have used a lot of energy worrying about your son’s treatment. I hope you feel a bit brighter soon 
Good to hear corner that peace is restored in corner land without needing to make use of either the frozen leg of lamb or greydusters patio. It amazes me sometimes that we 2 here, who have known each other for ever, can still mis-communicate so easily. Surely it should be easier after almost 50 years of marriage?
greyduster isn’t it funny that these youngsters of ours who are so savvy about technology and all sorts of other things haven’t had the opportunity to gain the skills that we had already mastered at their age? I guess that’s why grannies are so useful and grandpas too of course. My old boy was recently commissioned to teach an 11 year old gd the bus route to and from her home in preparation for high school in the autumn.
panache moving house is a demanding business on every possible level when you’re well. I can hardly bear to imagine how how much harder it must be when you are both so unwell. One step at a time I guess is the only way forward to avoid feeling completely and utterly overwhelmed by it all. Thinking of you and hoping you feel a bit stronger.
It’s been a week of contrasts here. Attended a friends funeral on Tuesday, the church was packed full so a fitting tribute to a lovely lady. Popped across to see dd4, visiting an NT place en route before meeting her for a catch up after she finished work. Yesterday we had dd2 lovely dog my favourite grand dog for the day, that of course involved a nice walk, then she and her crew came for a roast dinner. They’re a few weeks into a big kitchen extension project and are now thoroughly fed up with microwaved food. It's going to get worse before it gets any better. They're hoping to avoid decamping here, although we’re not far away we are not exactly round the corner, but it may come to that.
Right best get off and make sure I’ve packed properly and for every possible eventuality unlikely! This trip involves a 70th birthday party, country and seaside walks as well as a meal out with some other friends...now where did i put that list?

Good afternoon lovely peoples. The weather is milder and dry and we've some sweet peas to plant in a terraccota pot beside the front door. MacSporran has already planted what he believed to be sweet peas but has since discovered that they are mange tout. Never mind, they can live together with their close relatives.
