Oh, if only there could be, sodapop.
Have just seen a gorgeous, whimsical photo on Facebook which my eldest granddaughter (her daughter) has posted. They've all gone away for a couple of days to somewhere beautiful in the countryside for her birthday. DD is walking down towards the riverbank, carrying a basket. Her hair is tied up in a scarf and she's wearing a sarong. Thankfully my granddaughters are not estranged from me.
Marelli.... get a grip, lass!!

Such a touching poem - tears are in my eyes as I write this to you. I really hope that you will be reunited with your daughter some time soon xx

If only that would work, crazyH.
Have tried so many, many times, all sorts of things. Some things, we have to just accept.
Maybe one day. There's always hope. x

''50 years on"

Held in my body for 9 short months
My lovely girl, my joy, my perfect girl.
My loving girl, my funny girl, my child.
She's 50 now, this child of mine
Not lost to me, nor I to her,
But quiet now, she's left my life
For reasons I can only guess.
Time strides along, I'm left apart.
My darling girl.
My heart.
