...for what it's worth, from an electrician who was working at Windsor Castle, that MM had her baby yesterday and it's a boy.
I pooh-poohed the news but he said that he overheard a footman being told by a woman in the room next to one where he was working.
He said Harry being at the Marathon must have been to put people off the scent as the couple said publicly that they would not make any announcement until several days after the birth.
It remains to be seen whether he's telling the truth...hmm

In a few weeks you can probably see it all in Hello Magazine.

gillybob Fri 03-May-19 23:14:53

Maybe their bestie George is directing the whole thing ?

Do I even care ?

maryeliza54 Fri 03-May-19 23:10:51

And I’m with ab, kl and mcem on this as well. Utterly childish and pathetic attention seeking. This is all going to end in tears one day??

mcem Fri 03-May-19 23:06:06

Precisely annie.
Teasers, trailers, hype. Much like ramping up interest in a new film ahead of its release.
Or almost like an actress taking part in the publicity in the run-up to a Hollywood release??

kittylester Fri 03-May-19 23:01:04

I'm with you annie.

Anniebach Fri 03-May-19 22:54:33

The press and public are not present at a royal birth so they have no cause to hid from them. The press cannot get into
Windsor Castle grounds .

I think they are enjoying the attention , they are getting far more than William and Kate, it was announced Kate was in labour, she went into the hospital through a back entrance,
They came out with their babies, stood for a few minutes then drive off. Megan and Harry are playing the press and the public

Gonegirl Fri 03-May-19 22:24:19

Not their fault social meedja has had a ball with it.

Gonegirl Fri 03-May-19 22:22:50

That's a bit unfair Urmstrongran. grin If they want to do it quietly at home, away from the press and the public, why shouldn't they? Not as if the baby will be next in line or anything.

blondenana Fri 03-May-19 22:14:49

Update ,in the Independants .on the royal birth, says bookies have suspended bets among rumours that the baby has been born,

Urmstongran Fri 03-May-19 21:32:38

There is something odd going on here, that much is apparent. The Queen seems to be letting these shenanigans continue whilst every other royal baby was born following safety precautions and traditions. Baby arrived, was seen in due course, and named.

It's fifty days since Meghan holed up in Toad Hall during which we've had every possible rumour going: the baby's born, it's well overdue, there's a surrogate involved, it's twins, the baby is unwell, the surrogate has changed her mind...on and on.

I hope the baby is healthy but the Sussexes are deliberately playing games. I am fed up with it all and hope they don't have any more children - we don't need a repeat of this.

Framilode Fri 03-May-19 17:37:02

There has been such a hoo ha about the supposed secrecy etc. I think they will announce it more or less as soon as it's born. If she has a planned caeserian I think it will be in the middle of the night, they will get her home and then announce.

annodomini Fri 03-May-19 17:36:02

I went up to over 13 stone with DS2, but came rapidly down to 11 stone while he was in SCBU for nine days.

Callistemon Fri 03-May-19 17:33:49

I zoomed up to 11.75 stone shock with DC1 - but nowhere near as much as that with the others.
In fact, I put on the least with the last one.

Maggiemaybe Fri 03-May-19 16:38:37

I went zooming up from 8 stone to 11 stone when expecting DD1. I too was compared to a double decker bus, or a house end, and rude things about expecting triplets were shouted out in the street. grin She was a perfectly normal 7lb 13oz, but I nearly flooded out the delivery suite when my waters broke.

Nowhere near as dramatic a weight gain with the others.

kittylester Fri 03-May-19 16:31:07

Harry has cancelled his Amsterdam trip.

Anniebach Fri 03-May-19 16:18:32

With my first daughter the doctor did the usual tummy pressing and said ‘ you haven’t got a baby there you have a rabbit, but you have another month to go. She was born two days later , a month early 7lbs 4ozs.

blondenana Fri 03-May-19 16:15:31

My last pregnancy was twins, and i weighed under 9 stone, all bump, at the front, went down to 6stone after the birth

blondenana Fri 03-May-19 16:13:55

blondenana Fri 03-May-19 16:09:43

annsixty Fri 03-May-19 15:45:48

Loafed around eating cold custard from a Tupperware jug shock

No such luxury with 2nd/3rd babies as too busy hurtling around stopping No. 1 from climbing up the chimney and other such adventures he was prone to shock

Meghan looks like a cold custard type to me. Hence the bus grin
