...for what it's worth, from an electrician who was working at Windsor Castle, that MM had her baby yesterday and it's a boy.
I pooh-poohed the news but he said that he overheard a footman being told by a woman in the room next to one where he was working.
He said Harry being at the Marathon must have been to put people off the scent as the couple said publicly that they would not make any announcement until several days after the birth.
It remains to be seen whether he's telling the truth...hmm

Is Rufus on the other side of the world ?

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:27:56

I've had an afro. 'Twas in 1978. I never needed a pillow.

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:26:23

No. It was pink blanket seen through the window of a Bentley and a police escort because it was HM the Queen in the car and the blanket was a rug over her knees.
Don't believe everything you read.

Grammaretto Sat 04-May-19 16:25:47

Are Jalima and Jamelia one and the same?
I think we should be told.
I'm confused now. What were we talking about?
Kettles? Afro hair? Jalemia's health? The odd folk who knit for the Royals?

My nephew has afro ginger hair. Thought I'd just say.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is said to want a 4th child as she admitted to feeling broody when talking to a woman on a recent engagement.

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:19:46

breeze
I'm waiting to see if MawBroonsback pounces on you as she did on me for not putting the whole 'sarcasm' Oscar Wilde phrase, in a comment.

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:15:03

M is probably waiting for the kids 1st birthday and her waist to deflate to 26" before she puts in an appearance.
Suppose it's got afro ginger hair. Will baby be wearing a hat?

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:11:41

Sorry...Jamelia

GabriellaG54 Sat 04-May-19 16:10:41

Does Jamilia know? shock
She's probably doubled up in pain and half her height with her ribcage missing. Poor girl. winkgrin

Rufus2 Sat 04-May-19 15:48:52

Hope you're not boiling a pan of water on the fire as I type
Breeze; Your crystal ball should be focused elsewhere, not on me! How come you knew I was boiling a saucepan? A Google search of dept. stores turned up several dozen models so I "rushed" out to get a hands-on opinion and what do you know? Almost the first one had a thumb operated lid lift which GN experts had recommended and it was also a peach colour. I've often been called a "peach" (amongst other things e.g. a tonic) so that choice was a no-brainer!
Talking of tonic (G&T), looks like you also rushed out and re-stocked, unless your attempts at spelling Jalima were your deliberate mistakes! grin

Someone say something funny shock even I've gone all serious. Help
Just finished watching B'mouth beat (literally) Spurs live on TV, 1-0. That will make our Michelle (remember her?; B'mouth beige cardis.?) feel happy.
Anyway, it's now 12.40a.m., Sunday and way past my bedtime, so off I go to dream of funny things to lift your doom and gloom! grin

crazyH Sat 04-May-19 15:08:26

So sorry Rufus - I have given myself a slap ?

breeze Sat 04-May-19 15:02:50

I am off to cook said ribs now (great recipe. Was on celebrity Come Dine with me).

And still we wait.

I shall tune in tomorrow if the news has broken at last.

It's been an entertaining thread. Mostly.

Toodle pip.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:58:42

Ooh treading on thin ice there Rufus. The site is called 'Gransnet' smile Grandads most welcome of course and I did enquire about you earlier. Worried you may be boiling a pan of water over the fire to make a cuppa smile

Honestly, you'll be accused of being more attention seeking than Meghan soon grin

Rufus2 Sat 04-May-19 14:54:13

Lovely community of grandmas?
CrazyH; how's that for discrimination? Don't Grandads count"? sad Please feel free to inquire about me anytime! wink

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:45:40

Grief, just realised I called her a pop star. What am I like grin it's because I'm cooking Jamelia's ribs this bank holiday grin

And thank you for not correcting me kitty and letting me realise by myself smile

kittylester Sat 04-May-19 14:43:51

And grandpas/grandfathers/poppas!

Anniebach Sat 04-May-19 14:43:37

What annoys me is the fact that some people stand for hours regardless of weather to welcome them on their public appearances but they want ‘family time’ before announcing the birth. There are royalists who knit gifts , even some who feel motherly to Harry ! , I wouldn’t turn out for any royal visit , never have , but so many do.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:43:29

Thanks kitty

crazyH Sat 04-May-19 14:34:53

I really love it when posters 'miss' each other and enquiringly after them. As breeze just did. Lovely community of grandmas?

Namsnanny Sat 04-May-19 14:32:27

They can do as they like, so long as the country isn’t footing the bill!
As it does, they should stick to tradition, and stop attention seeking!!
Just wish they would grow up.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:31:04

Someone say something funny shock even I've gone all serious. Help!

kittylester Sat 04-May-19 14:29:14

jalima is around breeze.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:28:33

And yes, before I get jumped on, she didn't handle the Diana thing well.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:27:24

Grammeretto they should be bothered. Our Queen is an incredible woman who seems to fully understand that she was born into privilege and although some things remain private, she also understands you cannot hold that position of privilege and ignore your people.

Sadly, some of the younger royals do not have that good ethic.

A good example of 'entitled' that applies to a lot of young people these days.

breeze Sat 04-May-19 14:21:24

Anyone know where Jamelia is? I like her posts and just realised I haven't seen her online for a bit.
