Never read 50 Shades. Never seen Sound of Music. Never intend to read/watch either.

Thought Greatest Showman was ok-ish
Lasted 10 minutes of La La Land
Don’t want to see the new Dumbo because I will always love the original more.

Could happily watch Blood Brothers again and again but my very favourite musical has to be Fiddler on the Roof. I have lost count of the times I have seen it both the stage production and the film.

I still haven’t seen it Glory, but one of my daughters absolutely loves it!

This is my first post but I had to write it as I honestly thought that my daughter and me (and Sir Terry Wogan, I heard him mention once on the radio) were the only people who hated Mama Mia..As an 80’s teenager my daughter loved Abba & couldn’t wait to see it. What a let down.

I thought Lala Land was the worst film ever! No plot, no memorable songs. My mum fell asleep.

No, I didn’t like it either. I think it was good as Barnum. And I found the songs boring and repetitive.

I see that others, like me, also didn't care for Mama Mia. So corny. Not all well liked music makes for a good film. I'm sure, though, that someone could have come up with a better storyline

Snap! I even bought the DVD ( unusual for me) as I missed it when it was in the cinema. I just couldn't understand what all the hype was about. I'm going to try watching it again, as first tine round I had three GC's with me, so maybe wasn't concentrating. I felt that there was nothing memorable about the music. I really like musicals (well, most )

Favourite musical of all Jesus Christ Superstar

Have never watch Game of Thrones and never will but LOVE Line of Duty. Might start it all again when this series is done

Didn’t like The Greatest Showman; La La Land or Les Mis. When you see them on TV after they have been out a while you do wonder what all the hype was about

Clearly I'm a lost cause! Just started watching 'Showman' today - only managed 15 mins currently but enjoying it so far. Loved Mama Mia, loved Bohemian Rhapsody, loved Les Mis, loved Lady in a Van - though not as a comedy. I thought it was a very sad indictment of society about loneliness and lack of a home in old age.

I love the comments about "Brief Encounter", a couple of friends and I years ago, had the occasional "Brief Encounter" afternoons, watch the film, have a pot of tea and a scone or two and then practice our very best cut glass vowels and British stiff upper lips before collapsing into undignified heaps. Even my mother would utter about the film, bearing in mind it was her era, "awful acting, stilted dialogue and did anyone actually speak like that?" although she did admit liking the Rachmaninov's something or other piano concerto. I think Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse were brilliant at doing flickering black and white parodies from those bygone times where everyone knew their place and class

Haven't see "The Greatest Showman" I know it's a bit Marmite. Was there ever a film that was hyped up like "La La Land"? all the best bits are in the trailer, the rest is just so...........meh!

I love Grease and dirty dancing, have seen both lots of times, more the music really than the actual story

I have never bothered to watch dirty dancing , just doesn't appeal.

Do not like Wizard of Oz, or indeed anything with Judy garland in.

Can't say I have heard of it.... Who is Hugh Jackman? Not heard of him.... Wanders of contemplating life the universe and everything and everything ..

The one that I really didn’t like and couldn’t see the point of was La La Land! Was also totally bored by Nine Perfect Strangers! Didn’t attempt 50 Shades as had negative feedback from my daughter in law!

I too was keen on it. Don't know if it was the topic or just the constant frenzie of the film. Haven't seem Mama Mia 2.

In general, I usually prefer the stage show (with the exception of Grease and Dirty Dancing) so disliked the film version of Mamma Mia and Les Miserables (favourite stage show of all time). I suppose it depends which one you see first, as that probably has the greatest impact on your psyche- the exception for me being Jesus Christ Superstar as I loved both. I hated CATS; all that slinking around in your face!!

I liked the music in the Greatest Snowman and the storyline did get better as it went along. I hated 50 Shades; I have no time for subservient women! I'm still waiting to see some of the other films listed in the above comments but everyone's tastes are different and a good thing too.

Oh thank goodness ....I disliked the film as well...also couldn’t abide Gone With The Wind....and Mamma Mia...bad singing bad acting and bad dancing...what was to like ?!
