I only found out in my fifties that you turn the lid on tubes of stuff like antiseptic cream and tomato paste the pointy bit pierces the foil . Before that I used something pointy!

In my sixties I found out that you could crumble Oxo cubes in the foil and it was less messy (not the chicken ones though). Also that baby vests can be pulled down and not over the head to help avoid the 'poo everywhere' scenario. Lucky DGC!

I was 70 before I found out about the foil box/clingfilm flaps!

MY dil tells me Oxo can be opened as a cushion shape but I've never had any problems dealing with an Oxo cube and I'm astonished people do.

Just been to look at my foil boxes - no flaps of any kind, not even on the non-stick foil (and isn't that invention a godsend?).

My cling film box has a fixed roll and a neat little slider to cut the film though.

phoenix, asparagus also makes your pee green (pea green?). I only discovered that from DS and when I told my sister, she didn't believe me! She does now.

I listened to a podcast on sleep last week, top neurologists presenting, and I learnt that there are channels in the brain that drain toxins from the organ whilst you sleep .

I heard the same thing about the knee caps. I think igt was on Q.I which is a v useful prog. Apparently, it is something to do with until then it is all cartilage and it isn't till after then that they develop bone, so I suppose it is v pliable xxxxxx
