Radio 2 shows

I love radio 2, although I can't stand Vanessa Feltz but she is very good at getting me up at 6 am, one word from her perfectly elocuted voice and I am out of bed to turn her off! I don't like Elaine Paige either. But I love Jo Whiley, Sarah Cox and of course dear old Ken Bruce. I get cross when the presenters suck up to the celebrity guest, Steve Wright always seems to do this and it makes me cringe!

Funny how we all like different things isn’t it. Not keen on Graham Norton or Jeremy Vine (not much music - too much talk!) Can’t stand Alan Carr with Mel Sykes either! I do love Lisa Tarbuck and Paul O’Grady.

I can’t abide Steve Wright or Elaine Page, I’m afraid. I love Graham Norton’s Saturday show though, except when it’s taken over by the witless wittering and giggling of Alan Carr and Mel Sykes. I also enjoy Lisa Tarbuck and Paul O’Grady, Ken Bruce and Jeremy Vine, so I’ve plenty to listen to.

I love the way Steve Wright talks, cockney init mate!

Now my comments may cause a stir but here goes.

First I love all sorts of accents Scottish, Geordie, etc but what I dislike is slovenly speech which Steve Wright demonstrates regularly. He will start with ‘ello’ said in a drawn out fashion. ‘Yer what’ I could go on but I won’t.

I am not a snob and do not want to hear Received English.

With regard to Radio 2 I listen occasionally to Tony Blackburn, Jeremy Vine and Paul Jones when he used to do the Blues programme.

Just to finish with a flourish Elaine Paige’s laugh annoys me.

I am definitely a grumpy old woman. ?

Elaine Paige seems to have a good following, however I have to turn over when she comes on. I've never listened to Jamie Callum. I quite like Lisa Tarbuck on Saturday evening.
