I believe Age UK can help. They are very good in our area. I hope they all make their minds up soon so that you can relax a little. They must know how awful it is for you both.

Ann Very unsettling and upsetting. That is an understatement. Were you told how to contact Age UK? Please say that you have all the details at hand. You are constantly in our thoughts and will remain so.

It has been a full-on busy afternoon. Long missive now on it's way to the recipient. Visitors dropped in. Stayed blethering for a very long time. Good pals. Always welcome. I'm now running behind time. I must log off and do a few wee jobs aboot the hoos.

Inflammation very much less dramatic. I take the final antbio' this evening.

Care home visit in the morning. Back with you lovely lot as soon as we return home.

Just back from my first visit to the new accommodation.
Not made particularly welcome, had to ask for a nurse to come and put me in the picture.
When she came she stood in the door and said "yes?"
I asked about the setup etc asked if he was on pain relief as he is obviously now very uncomfortable and she dis go and get him some liquid paracetamol.
It would seem he can still be sent to a Nursing Home, it will be their decision, not mine.
She also said that Age UK will help me in making a choice, I didn't know this was in their remit or part of their service.
She explained I will be in limbo for some time, it is all very uncertain.
Very unsettling and upsetting.
Ah well it will be settled in the end I suppose.

You misconstrue me, Panache; I was not at all talking down Fishguard and certainly not Lower Town. Like Doodle we have visited it often and seen it in all its meteorological moods, and make a stop there when we can, despite the hill! We had lunch at Ffwrn last time we were there and very nice it was too!

We’ve been to Fishguard a few times and loved it. Have fond memories of sitting on the rocks at the bottom of some steps with the waves crashing round us. ?

kitty, I love your Persie! She sounds like a determined and very articulate girl and will, I prophesy, go far. She reminds me of my now teenage GD, a formidable young woman!

I need better specs!
However I will take umbrage with you talking down Fishguard and the most glorious Lower Town
It actually has with its own claim to fame.....being the background where Dylan`s "Under milk wood" was filmed with Richard Burton etc.
Whilst Fishguard itself may not have much in the way of stores,the beautiful coastal views are truly special, with the coastal footpaths spectacular.
Furthermore there is a lot of new developments planned including a Marina!!

What happened to the warmer weather promised?
Not only have we had wind,rain, it is really cold.
But the warmth in the kitchen is very inviting,as is the humour!!!

A very warm welcome Anniebach from me and how pleased I am to see the welsh contingency growing nicely here within the Kitchen.
Further more, living in Pembrokeshire and brought up knowing the welsh history before much else this lovely tapestry you mentioned is actually on view in the Town Hall,Market Square in Fishguard,and believe me it is well worthy of a visit.

Seems you know my area well Susan and in fact as Easter approaches our county swells in size!

Your news sounds a little more promising Ann and it must put your mind slightly at rest.Hoping all will turn out well for your H `s benefit and care.

Welcome back Maw,sorry about the dratted cold,also the sad news about Flynn`s other Gran,great hearing your SiL is a Keeper and willing to put himself out.So great having willing family members.

Having an early start tomorrow,my turn with an appointment at the Ophthalmic clinic,not expecting much for this advancing MD.......perhaps help from hitting the wrong keys might help!!
How we shall cope is another big question,we are both very frayed at all edges and my dear man can only drive.....or sit........for very short spells before having to walk to relieve his pain.
So we can but hope.

Morning all!!

We survived 4 days with the little boys but we’re on our knees now! We have till Wednesday to recover when we collect the Queen of the Universe until everyone arrives on Saturday . We are gluttons for punishment!!

Had a bad night last night with all the demons arising. Why is it that things seem so much worse in the middle of the night. Might have to go for a snooze later.

Mamissimo that is a photograph to treasure, lovey little family, wishing your GD a happy life. DS was christened in my christening gown, but it was 'lost' during a house move so couldn't dress DD in it for her christening. It has since resurfaced but hasnt been needed yet. I live in hope, for grandchildren you understand.
You chose two good names Annie, your DD thinking she was named after a duck made me chuckle.

Morning, folks! Annie, bore da! My apologies for missing you last time I posted!
Susan the Last Invasion tapestry is in the Town Hall in Fishguard - or was last time we visited a few years ago. I like Fishguard but I don’t know why, because all it’s charms lay in the harbour area which is at the bottom of the steepest hill in the world! You need crampons and an ice axe to get back up it! Every time we’ve tackled it, it is harder and longer and leaves us in a wheezing heap at the top!

kitty. Persie is certainly a character. It’s going to be very entertaining watching her grow up ?!

FaceTimed GS last night who was wearing his dad’s marathon medal! I told him to keep working toward earning his own one day. They are due home today. I think DD found Paris very stressful, despite speaking fluent French, but then she doesn’t like London either, or New York. She seems to seize up in large cities, poor lass.

Well, I will try and look in later. I have to go and try and get a medical appointment. I am not hopeful. TOYA.

Well Matilda eventually fell asleep at 10pm and we had a rabbitless night so she is a happy little girl this morning.

Annie,I had never heard of Jemima Fawr did a quick google search which has piqued my interest.There is a tapestry commemorating Jemima which my husband thinks is in St David’s so more research needed and more places to visit next time we visit family in Pembrokeshire.
