I am so sad about all the happenings.
Is it our age?

So sorry to hear all the very sad news from Panache and Anneliese . I can’t really offer much help , just a hug !!

Grampy is feeling his trip to the osteo yesterday and I was mugged by my Easter egg which made me eat the whole thing!!

I hope that your GP will now follow up with a treatment plan for your DH, he sounds a good egg. Thinking of you both.

It has finally stopped raining here, the first rain for some time and I haven't missed it a bit. DH just managed to cut the back lawn this morning before the heavens opened, the front will have to wait.
There is a lot of sadness in the kitchen at the moment, TOYA ?

Thank you dear friends and would you believe the Scan we have awaited since mid January has suddenly become available via a phone call...........thanks be to our great GP. whom has decided to go it alone without the Hospital.

Anneliese what can I say, but please believe me I can well undertsand how shocked you are with the news of your dear man`s MND diagnoses.

There is almost too much to take in in the kitchen at present- there is little happy news and what we do hear is horrendous.

Oh, my goodness, anneliese. That is a lot to take in. I mentioned on here DD2's friend's recent similar diagnosis - devastating.

So much sadness here at the moment. Panache and Anneliese63 my heart goes out to both of you .

Devastated. DH has motor neurone disease. Horrific journey back from hospital in ridiculous traffic. Too upset to read posts at the moment so love to all. TOYA ?

As you know, dh, had tests but he was lucky enough to escape the treatment and he just requires monitoring.

I'm sorry about my frivolity when you are all so worried.

Panache I don’t know what to say. As if you had not had more than your fair share of misfortune, you and your dear husband are faced with this. It is so bloody unfair. Like others I wish I lived nearer to you and could do something practical to help. I hope you find a swift solution to your housing needs and that the medics are going to be doing everything possible for your DH.?

The weather is matching my mood this afternoon. It has suddenly gone very dark and there is thunder rumbling around.

You are a much loved member of this kitchen, and I hope that the messages of support, virtual hugs and love shall bring you some comfort.

Please take up the offer of sheltered accommodation, and maybe putting your home into an auction could bring a swift end to one of your worries.

My thoughts are with you Panache, I have just spent several hours with DH at hospital while he had radiotherapy for the same thing. I hope they can find a treatment that will help.

Panache so sorry to hear your latest dreadful news.

I personally would accept the offer of the sheltered accommodation. Once there you would no longer have the worry and expense of mowing the large expanse of grass once the house was sold.

Once you had moved out the house could go up for auction putting a "reserve" price on it so that it does not appear as though you are giving the property away. It could easily be sold in 28 days.

soop stopping off for fish and chips on the way home would be a superb idea- a lovely meal and you would not have to think about supper when you returned home.

N&G could I possibly hire grampy's services because that pathway is beautifully made.

Kitty I did laugh when I read Persie's latest offering- she is so funny and serious.

Dear Panache, I'm heartbroken for you. As morethan has already said, there is nothing we can physically do to help you, if only some Kitcheners lived near you.
All I can offer are my prayers.

Panache I’m so sad to hear your news of yet another blow. You must be reeling. I hope one of our kitcheners can give you some calm advice on what to do next about moving. It so hard when we’re overwhelmed with so much going on to think straight and you both must be so very shocked and frightened. There is nothing I can do to help but I hope that knowing I am thinking of you gives you a tiny bit of comfort.

That’s heartbreaking news to hear, panache and I’m so sorry for you both having to deal with this latest blow. I hope something can be put in place for your husband very speedily.

Just to fill you all in however so pleased to see you back with us Izabella and to know you have well and truly been "livin` it up" ........and why not!
You too Morethan and so good to hear of the new birth that has helped in perking up your dil.

I did metion my dear man had had a foul weekend so yesterday I insisted on going in with him to his GP.
The GP is great but has battled with my man`s Consultant since his Stroke............an abodominal scan was requested on his one and only follow up clinic........in mid January but the request for the scan still has not arrived.
The GP could see the painful state my man was in and took all manner of tests there and then.
This morning we had a phone call telling us he was on his way over to talk over the results.
Sadly much as I feared, yes it is cancer but as yet of course we do not know if it is confined to his prostate, but the dreadful bone pains cwrtainly suggest it may have spread.
We had thought it to be sciatica earlier on.
Now of course it will be the usual case of more Hospital,Consultants etc with hopefully a plan of treatments...........a course I and so many of you know only too well.
Of course it could not have come at a worse time,fate is playing a very unkind hand here when we have just been offered that Sheltered Apartment we so need.
I am now so unsure of how to proceed.

Quite frankly I am totally in shock,with so much going on all around me and I am feeling pretty low myself.

I would give my right hand to have the love and caring of a family around us right now.
I am sorry for taking up your time in the kitchen as I well know how many of you have severe issues of your own,however thank you for being here, because I can assure you were I not able to share I think I might burst.
