Evening all,

Hope you have all had a reasonable day . Grampy and I went to see the bluebells at Blickling today. He's now recovering in his chair :-)

I took some lovely pictures, Ill leave a couple here. Including one of Sam with his mate marmite ! Marmite was bought for Sam when he arrived nearly 6 years ago and Sam adores him .

I loved the pictures of the wisteria too, Id love to try and grow one. Its not out at Blickling yet.

Other than that no news here- I hope all went well for those with medical apts today x

Second very long day of appointments but we were very blessed with help arriving whenever we needed it, wonderful answer to our prayers! We are heading off to bed and intend to have a lazy recovery day tomorrow so that we are ready for next week and more of the same which will continue in that vein for the next 6 to 8 weeks! Hope we keep well enough!

I’ve taken the plunge and booked a 1:1 Pilates session tomorrow at home to get me started on the road back to sone kind of muscle tone. Hope it makes a difference....feel a bit anxious because I haven’t been able to do anything like this for years. I’ve forgotten how to jump!

Oh what a difference a week makes....its wild , wet and windy here ( and that doesn't even take into account Grampy lol )!!

Good luck mamissimo , hope you enjoy your training session. Id love to have a go at seated Tai chi or even yoga but cant find a local class.

linamillion if you hear the odd sound during the night it will be me dog and cat napping. They are gorgeous but I do not think Tara will take kindly to two intruders. Tara is also black and white but has more white on her face.

It's a sunny day in Kintyre. A pic or two taken in the garden just this morning. We had a very pleasant walk through the village and stopped to do quite a bit of blethering.

Lordy! I have muscles......that will hurt tomorrow ? that was my first exercise class for about 50 years so I think I’ve accomplished something. All you lovely people have paid for my astonishing care from the NHS over the last half a century and I owe it to you to work this body now that I can, before it’s too late!

It is recycling and refuse collection day, recycling quite literally as most of the Close's rubbish was blown into our drive!
It is soo cold, we've put the heating on.

1inamillion The weather has become windier and very much chillier. I have a shawl draped around my shoulders and have both bedsocks and sheepskin-lined slippers on my feet. Not all that elegant. However, I intend keeping cosy warm in my own home.

Away to prepare our evening meal. Read the newspaper and, in the fulness of time, sup a G&T.

It has been wild, windy and cold here for hours. My washing is drying but the heating is on. I do not want hypothermia to set in.

I will be cooking supper soon, Tara will hopefully decide to return home and we will have an early night as I am enjoying my book. Simple pleasures in my life.

Seriously windy here. Went out for lunch and then thought it’s high tide. Let’s go see the waves (not a very high tide so not dangerous). Quite a spectacle. Then I had the great idea of walking around a building to get a different view. Turned a corner and just couldn’t walk against the wind. Literally stopped in my tracks. Must have looked like a cartoon character. Laughed until we cried then disappeared into a cafe to recover. Could only happen to me .

In the spirit of emptying bottles to empty the cupboards, I am drinking Blue Ladies. ?
Perhaps I should head to the Argy later!

Just back from helping out with family “stuff” and have had no internet on my device! Have also had to survive in a chocolate free zone so you can all guess how I am going to spend tomorrow. Have done lots of sorting and it seems to have been appreciated and I deserve to put my feet up tomorrow.
I have been catching up on all the news and send prayers and consolation to so many of you and yours who are suffering. Wishing a calm Sunday to all tomorrow. I have brought back shortbread and left it on the side with a selection of miniatures. Look for your favourite. TOYA???

soop as always there you are looking elegantly beautiful! I loved the bluebell photos too. We have a stunning bluebell wood very near here. Sadly with one thing and another I’ve somehow not quite managed to get there yet this year which is ridiculous for someone who’s retired! Maybe tomorrow, if it’s not pouring wet that is.

GrannyG things must be bad if you’re watching BGT but sometimes it just needs to be done! We’ve had dd2 and co here for tea this afternoon/evening. The 2 girls were keen to watch it, their dad and grandpa joined in while dd and I enjoyed a rare child free chat as we demolished a bottle of Prosecco. Good result all round I’d say!

Glad to hear your hospital trip went better than expected Synonymous, it’s lovely when folk are just “there” when we need them most...”entertaining angels unawares” is the expression thar comes to my mind!

Lovely photos, n&g, hope Grampy is recovering now. I’m a bit partial to Spaniels myself. We had a crazy, but so lovable, Springer when the children were all at home. She didn’t have half the brains that our rescued Heinz 57 had, but we did love her dearly. I have to confess that my favourite shh don’t tell my other daughter and son “grand dog is dd2’s Pip the Cockapoo who just reminds me so much of our soppy and very snuggly Jess! Your Hattie does do a good line in relaxing maw. she certainly knows where her bread is buttered!

Hello the kitchen! Have had to catch up a few days again, and what a time of sad news for many of you. I wish I could give everyone a physical hug of support and find the right words to comfort each of you but, in the meantime, TOYA

I felt so energised last weekend with the sunshine, even though I didn't finish sorting all my patio pots as several neighbours wandered round in the sunshine and we did lots of blethering (such a lovely word - reminds me of my wee Scots granny!) My poor back might not have survived another bending-and-lifting session either but thankfully I had a phone call yesterday to agree a time for my new mattress to be delivered next Friday. They say things happen in threes don't they, well so far this year I've had to buy a new cleaner (the GT*ch is fabulous!), the new mattress, and am currently researching a new cooker as my old one has developed a gas leak and is now condemned!! I'm currently being inventive with a microwave and an induction hob

So many beautiful photos from you all and I was exceptionally interested in the potted wisteria. There is a beautiful one currently in flower spread over a pergola in the communal gardens here, but I'd never thought of growing one in a pot. Think I'll have to give it a try by my front door. There are some enormous peonies in flower too, giant dinner plate size, but we also have some pale yellow ones in bud that seem to hide their blooms under the leaves.

DGS's other grandma has been visiting for a couple of weeks so I haven't seen him as much as usual (she lives a long way away). However, he was here yesterday and told me he'd missed me a lot. My eyes filled with tears as he doesn't understand normal emotions [music icon] 'Little things mean a lot'.

Was in M&S food hall earlier and they were reducing the price of packs of english strawberries. Couldn't leave them there could I? So there's strawberries and cream in the fridge for breakfast for the early risers. Goodnight friends
