Susan56 Adorable baby Barnaby. I love the relaxed attitude. The positioning of those chubby legs is delightful.

mumofmadboys Wow! That was quite a climb. Did you ask Theresa for her autograph? Did you mention Gransnet? wink

Panache Please do go ahead with the offer of the Retirement Apartment. I'm sending vibes for an Easter viewing of your home that will proceed without too much faffi' and further ado.
Sorry to hear that you've ruined your specs. We have all done something like from time to time.

Swanny It is perfect gardening weather. The sun is shining and the bees are buzzing from flower to flower. A glorious time of the year.

My very best wishes to you lovely lot for a restful hmm weekend.

For those of you with sorrows, I send my love. TOYA

How lovely to hear that your hubby is home for Easter Synonymous. I`m sure that with determination you`ll iron out the problems between you.
Kitty, you couldn`t have picked a better day for your photo shoot, I hope all went well.
Soop, I`m glad things are proceeding well, what is planned for after your 90th?
Panache, here`s hoping that one of the recent viewers is THE one!
My son`s radiotherapy dosage has been reduced as it`s not considered desirable for the mass to shrink as quickly as it has done, although they still say that it is good news that it`s shrinking. He has another 4 weeks of treatment.
Ann, thinking of you, hoping you have had some rest, do take good care of yourself, let Molly help.
TOYA

PS, Susan, I forgot to mention that Barnaby is a real cutie!

mcem Sat 20-Apr-19 20:30:42

Totally preoccupied with GCs earlier and missed a WhatsApp msg from D S, their uncle. Spotted it at 8, just as phone rang and he called. Dil is in midwifery unit with first baby! He has told her folks, his dad and and me but I'm not to tell anyone else. Does GN count?
Contractions are 3 minutes apart.
Am now watching The Greatest Showman with DGD (8) and haven't a clue what it's about!

Swanny Sat 20-Apr-19 21:53:56

mcem congratulations!! Must admit I have watched The Greatest Showman but have no recognition of it other than a feeling I enjoyed it!! Obviously had other things on my mind at the time, as I'm sure you have flowers flowers

mcem Sun 21-Apr-19 02:58:12

It's a boy! DS just phoned to say my new DGS arrived just before 2!

Nico97 Sun 21-Apr-19 03:37:00

Congratulations mcem on your wonderful news flowers

cornergran Sun 21-Apr-19 06:18:03

Many congratulations to you mcem and to the young family. Wonderful news.

Sounds like progress for you soop. Are you planning something special for your birthday?

A shrinking tumour is positive for your son callgirl, I don’t think it’s unusual for dosage to be adjusted.

Good news that your husband has recovered enough to be at home over Easter synonymous. Wheelchairs can indeed be heavy and awkward, please be careful with lifting.

Barnaby is a real cutie susan, brought a smile here.

Yesterday was also a day for daftness here panache, you aren’t alone, must be the warm weather. Two items of clothing stained and a torn back toenail. If you possibly can please do accept the retirement apartment, you both need a less stressful life.

How was the photo shoot kitty? Not a fan for myself, find them stressful, but I know many people love them and it’s good to have the outcome.

ann has been on my mind.

Plan a quiet day today, a bit grumpy, sore and uncomfortable so a relax in the very welcome sun it is I think. Our Montana has covered a boring fence with beautiful blooms, aquilegia are showing colour, some Spring bulbs continue to bloom, the rhododendrons are just opening, the birds are busy, all good to just sit and be with.

Take care everyone. TOYA.

Marydoll Sun 21-Apr-19 07:02:28

Congratulations mcem.
Happy Easter everyone, I hope the sun shines for all. sunshine

kittylester Sun 21-Apr-19 07:15:31

Congratulations mcem - what a wonderful Easter present. We need details- name, weight etc. thanks

I think reducing the dosage can only be good news for your son callgirl.

How did your mishap occur corner, we had to nail issues too with 2 small girls. I must confess to nails make me go 'funny'. How are things this morning.

I echo the advice to go for the flat panache

I too am thinking of ann.

soop, wonderful photos as always.

Our photoshoot was made very easy by the photographer being a really nice chap who seemed to manage to think of family combinations we didn't. The weather was lovely and the trees a great backdrop. Cant wait to see the result.

Back later. TOYA!

Nannytopsy Sun 21-Apr-19 07:16:10

Great news mcem and best wishes for Easter to everyone.

mumofmadboys Sun 21-Apr-19 07:50:35

Congratulations mcem. Enjoy!!

annsixty Sun 21-Apr-19 07:59:57

Such welcome news from Synonymous and mcem a lovely new family has been founded.
A Happy Easter to you all.
I am better today, my GD is worth her weight in gold.
My D is feeling isolated being so far away and may fly up for a couple of days just to be with us, she is not far from Heathrow, she is much nearer Gatwick but they stopped flights to Manchester some time ago.
It would be lovely to see her but I really don't need her, it will be for sake that I will encourage her.

dragonfly46 Sun 21-Apr-19 08:18:10

Good to hear from you ann and that you are feeling better. I would encourage DD to come. She will need your comfort and the reassurance that you are okay.

Anniebach Sun 21-Apr-19 08:21:01

Congratulations mcem and welcome to the new little one

Happy Easter to all x

Greyduster Sun 21-Apr-19 08:38:26

Congratulations Mcem! How lovely to have a new baby at Easter.

Lovely photo of Barnaby, Susan. That is the name of my best friend’s son in law. He is handsome and very clever!

Kitty I’m sure your photos will be lovely! The only time we had a family photo shoot, my two chose that day to hate each other (and DD had a cold), so we would rather draw a veil over it!?‍♀️

Momb I read of your climb up Cader Idris, and remembered that we set out on the Pony Path in good weather to do it in 1997, walked for about two hours and then the weather closed in and we couldn’t see a thing, so we turned back! Glad you got to the top. We never got the chance to do it again. Not fit enough now, but I still have the route leaflet should we find sudden reserves of energy!

Glad your son’s treatment is going well, Callgirl. That is heartening.

Corner, I am another who goes ‘funny’ at the thought of nail issues! That must have been painful. Your garden sounds lovely. Being further north, we are still waiting for things to burst into bloom.

Soop you and MacS are looking chipper! Lovely photos. I like the look of your rocky beach.

Panache I agree about the apartment - please don’t lose the chance if you can. You’ve waited so long.

I spent a very pleasant afternoon with my DiL when they came to lunch on Friday - we don’t get together very often. Yesterday was a gardening day, planting up, moving pots around and generally tidying up (and sitting about a lot drinking tea, making plans, drinking more tea.....). Today I have another roast dinner to cook for DD and her menfolk after they have slogged the Monsal Trail on their bikes, but it will be late so I have the best part of the day to sit in the sun with a book! Tomorrow my son’s eldest Stepson and his lady are dropping in on us on their way back to Bucks, so I shall have to rustle up sandwiches and cake. At least it’s not another roast dinner!

Thinking of Ann and all who are struggling at the moment.

Greyduster Sun 21-Apr-19 08:48:21

Ann I’m glad that you have your face in the sun a little today, and thank goodness for your lovely GD. Your DD will feel better for being with you at the moment too.

Charleygirl5 Sun 21-Apr-19 09:21:58

Ann I knew your GD would come up trumps, she always has in the past. Enjoy the sunshine if you possibly can because I believe we are returning to "normal" weather next week- colder and rain- oh joy.

mcem congratulations- I agree, we must have the name, weight etc asap!!!!!

corner may I invite you here for a few days to sort out plant pots etc? I can do little these days without resting and gardening, although on the cards yesterday, was not possible.

Which one of you lot sneaked in piles of washing?! Next time I may buy an industrial machine to cope.

mcem Sun 21-Apr-19 09:25:11

Thank you for your good wishes. I hope our Easter babe will bring a little ray of sunshine to all who need a lift. No name yet. Here he is at 8 hours of age and weighing 7lb7.

Bellanonna Sun 21-Apr-19 09:28:06

Congratulations on the new little boy mcem!
Happy Easter to everyone

Charleygirl5 Sun 21-Apr-19 09:44:17

Another little cutie and looks so peaceful but no doubt he has a healthy pair of lungs. He looks as though he has curly hair and quite a lot of it. They are adorable at that age. When will you see him?

dragonfly46 Sun 21-Apr-19 09:57:25

Gorgeous mcem just what we need on Easter Day.

Bellanonna Sun 21-Apr-19 10:10:54

Ah, he looks perfect.

Greyduster Sun 21-Apr-19 10:15:12

‼️O-oh! Broody alert! ‼️ Gorgeous Mcem. Did you knit his hat?
